Being on the 'frontlines' of this pandemic, I was offered the Vaccine and I refused.

Yes you are right.

It was not immediately after he got the shot but their were multiple articles in the MSM the day before he died showing him getting the shot and using him as an example.

He died the very next day.

Impeccable timing on that, I find myself thinking "truth is far stranger than fiction" quite a lot these days.

Look. my mother is 83, she is a medical walking mystery.. She should of had a triple heart bypass 3 years ago PLUS she has an abdominal aneurism at a point it can burst.
She didn't because she knew she wouldn't survive..
She has had 2 doses of the jab and is perfectly fine.
It now gives her freedom to have people in her home, a place she has stayed in for over a year only going out for shopping.
Her veins are hardened with calcium, but she is the most inspirational person in my life.

She too was extremely worried about the vaccine, but she took it on the chin....
A very brave woman..

I am really glad to hear that.
I hope she has many more years ahead of her.

At my point in life, family means more to me than anything.
I certainly understand your point of view.

In the US we have been lied to from day one about the virus all the way from Dr. Fauci to our state and local health officials.

It's a sad thing when people have completely lost faith in the so called "experts".

I understand your input now. Thank you for being more open..
But... In my country, we have a stoic kind of nature and we were the fist nation to have this jab and we are sticking by it.
Come what may by any conspiracy theories, we will be and are safe from it.. Regardless of what you have been told.

TAKE THE CHANCE AND HAVE THE JAB..

I may be forced to because of my job.

My father said he is going to reassess the situation in 6 months.

Input like your and your mothers experience is appreciated.

For what it's worth, I think you'll be fine. After all, these RNA vaccines are not 'brand new'.

Through sheer good luck in a thoroughly 'bad luck' global scenario, RNA vaccines have matured just in time.

“A lot went into the mRNA platform that we have today,” says immunologist Akiko Iwasaki at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, who has worked on nucleic-acid vaccines — those based on lengths of DNA or RNA — for more than two decades. The basic research on DNA vaccines began at least 25 years ago, and RNA vaccines have benefited from 10–15 years of strong research, she says, some aimed at developing cancer vaccines. The approach has matured just at the right time; five years ago, the RNA technology would not have been ready.

www.nature.com...

IMAGINE...

... if this pandemic had occurred in early 2010, for example. The world could potentially have suffered continuous lock-downs and miserable restrictions for five years... assuming that Covid-19 did not mutate downwards to an 'acceptable level of death' by the second summer in 2011 as flu pandemics tend to do. Spanish Flu did so in the summer of 1919 after taking tens of millions of lives since March 1918, although hospitals didn't have patients lingering in wards like Covid-19 invariably does; indeed, beds could be emptied of the Spanish Flu dead within 1-2 days.

Hence why Covid-19's comparatively lower but still serious death toll is not the point, although suffering the greatest increase in excess national deaths since World War One in the UK is terrible enough (finally confirmed this month to the horror of vocal Covid-19 sceptics).

Back to 2021...

... However, this is not a flu; it's also novel, so we have no idea how Covid-19 will mutate this year, especially with vaccines in use for the first time DURING a pandemic, which ironically could make it fight back with more ferocity - which sounds contradictory, but the world simply cannot take the risk of doing nothing.

So, since we are literally lucky to have available RNA vaccines that have been studied for 10-15 years before being declared safe, will I shove one into my arm?

Damn right, I will!

I see the next mandate from biden will be a restriction to domestic air travel without a vaccination. It's coming soon.

But why?? How can they justify this, when the vaccine does not prevent you from contracting or spreading Covid to others? It only (supposedly) keeps you from getting worse symptoms. So it only benefits YOU. Getting the vaccine will not protect those around you on an airplane! This just makes no sense to me whatsoever!

You only see what your looking for, if you believe the vaccine is safe then no amount of evidence will sway you away from that belief.

That said I think anyone questioning this situation deserves a look at these personal acounts. It's a collection of people's experiences with taking the vaccine.

Seems real to me, but real or not it paints a rather terrifying picture.

These reported accounts brought the movie, "The Host" to mind.

Not making light or going all whoo whoo, it just popped in my mind.

I am not going to push for a side, it is a choice each of us has to make. I just have more faith in nature, than I do with man.

Nature has the inside track, and has been keeping life going on this little blue marble for quite a while. I don't trust man manipulating my food, so I am not going to line up to have man experimenting with my genetic material.

That is just me.

My good friend, Kenneth had his second jab last Tuesday and is fine. The only side effect he experienced - despite being a hardened Brexiteer and never learning the language - was a strange ability to speak fluent French,. His wife was apparently thrilled about this but to her disappointment, this strange ability only seemed to last a few hours. The doctors seemed to think that Kenneth’s intense aversion to the French which he has harboured for many decades had found an outlet through this unique talent. It’s all very Freudian. I said it could have been worse, Ken, you could have been speaking Floridian! We did laugh!

I'm an essential worker and I won't be getting vaccinated. I'm also a covid survivor according to the testing. For me it is NOT about fear...it is about choice. I feel that everyone should have a choice and there should be no repercussions for making that choice. You should not lose your job or be vilified, called stupid (Shame on you Sussy), or ostracized for your personal choices.

It is not a stance against the vaccine, it is a stance against a freedom that, until last year, I was able to exercise without any fear of retaliation. And quite honestly, the more people try to pressure me into it, the more I'm going to fight back.

So, none of the "it's harmless" or "it's dangerous" arguments matter to me. What matters is the choice. I've researched it and came to a decision on what's best for me. The choice is mine and no one should have the right to make that choice for me.

Thanks,
blend57

I have nothing against allowing people to choose whether or not they will get vaccinated. In fact I'm a long term advocate for freedom of choice.

What I am concerned about is that other people around you won't know that you've not been vaccinated. So unless you do something to make them aware of your status then they can't make informed choices when they are around you.

It's like having Herpes. You should inform your sexual partners in advance so that they can determine what the risks are and how they should act. If they choose to have sex with you then they do so from a position of informed consent, rather than one of ignorance.

This was posted in the main ATS ongoing COVID thread.

SIGN OFF WAIVER FOR VACCINE

Can you really blame anybody for deciding not to take it after reading that ?

I taken many vaccinations in my life, and I have never had to sign a special waiver.
This vaccine was rushed to market.
It's basically still in Beta testing; given the negative reactions I have decided to not take it either.
Last time I took the flu shot I immediately got sick within 24 hours, when I was feeling fine but propaganda convinced me to get it, never again.

There is another reason as well, the raw data on the death rate of COVID is being manipulated upwards as I posted in this
ATS COVID Thread

Smart move. Wait at least six months and see how people who rushed out and got it are doing. I'm going to wait at least that long.

The vaccine doesn’t stop the spread, so whether ive taken the jab or not is no one’s damn business but my own. You can’t establish heard immunity from this vax. It’ll only help u fight off the disease. You can still potentially be reinfected. This will take 5-6 jabs a year. No thanks.
