Fortunately, I do all of my drinking at home and don't go driving. I've decided that I am going to try to make it until friday without a drink. Small steps.

I'll be wishing the best for you. Not that drinking is bad, but too much can ruin you and everyone that loves you.

I'm hoping that I can get it under control when we all get back to normal.

An excuse not to get it under control NOW.......

Knowing that, you have no excuse anymore to pawn off your bad behavior on......its not because youre drunk, you know how you are when youre drunk and you choose to do it anyway.

Thats like saying "I know i get violent with my wife when im drunk, but right now i just need to drink"

Grow a set and deal with your issues like a man and stop blaming the booze

Drinking effects people so differently.
Love being around funny drunks.
Hate being around the angry ones.
Before I was married, I used to turn into a horney drunk...now I just turn into a sleepy one.

Drinking is not your problem. You just need to change what you usually drink for a different alcoholic beverage.

Beer makes me smoother and farty. I pee a lot normally, so figure out.

Wine makes me jumpy, great for video games sessions. I get horny too.

Whiskey is great to watch videos and play loud music. I curse a lot and it increases my fluentcy.

I can keep going, but you probably got the point.

I have a few alcoholics in my family. I am lucky that most of them are happy and loving drunks. I have one family member who is a nasty contrary person, but becomes amazingly lovable, happy, and nice, when she is drunk.

It always surprises me, because my mother told me "a drunk mouth speaks a sober mind". So I don't know why she hides such a beautiful personality away, unless she is drunk.

I have a feeling that you may be an a-hole when drunk, but that you may also be funny.

I would say welcome, but I see you have been around longer than me.

Yeah...I'm still embarrassed about that.
Sorry.

It was the wig and lipstick that through me off...but, TBH, you DID make for a pretty hot red head.

After a positive, friendly exchange this morning, I thought that I should make another introduction with a disclaimer.

When I drink, I get to looking for a fight, easily angered, and tend to lash out. I apologize if I have ever done that to any of you. If it happens in the future, just say "Have you been drinking again?' That should calm me right down.

I tend to be antisocial and don't like people much. However, I like the members of this community much more than is usual for me. That's what keeps me coming back for more.

Have a great day!

So you’re drunk 24/7?

I used to only drink beer and sake. Lately, it's just been the hard stuff.

Why don`t you just limit your drink?
Smoke a couple of joints.
My brother was the same. Really lovely man but always had to apologise to friends the next day.

I hope to be able to get it under control in the future. Right now, I need to drink.

No judgement from me, because I’m a recovering alcoholic. Not saying you are an alcoholic. But, generally, people without a problem with booze don’t say they need to drink.

What is your withdrawal like in the morning? If you’re nauseated and shaky every morning, you’re already in trouble. If you try to stop but can’t, whether it be the withdrawal symptoms are too bad or because you need too badly to numb out, you’re maybe in trouble.

Again- not diagnosing and DEFINITELY not judging- just sharing my experience in the chance it might help. I was (and will be again if I pick up drinking ever again) the worst kind of drunk- I have an insanely high tolerance (walked myself into the ER once, checked myself in, remember it all, and my BAC when they got around to testing it a few hours later was .49) and I couldn’t function unless I had vodka in water to sip on all day long. Otherwise, I was too shaky to function in any way and I would be dry heaving constantly without it.

IF you are an alcoholic, know this- you’re not a loser or weak or anything- you have a disease that many other people have and it has a 100% cure, which is total abstinence from booze. Lots of us feel mountains of shame beacsiee of our drinking. We help each other heal that shame when we get together and share our stories and share our ways of staying sober.

Hang in there. PM me if you need anything. ❤️

I "only" drink beer. Is that okay? To what extent?

Some like it hot, but you can't tell how hot 'til you try
Some like it hot, so you turn up the heat 'til you fry

I was sober once.

Didn't care for it.

Not one bit.

You need to be more "open-minded' and explore the marvelous world of alcohol. Accept the quest.
