One doesn't have to lie to be wrong or for an affidavit to be rejected. There are also other considerations; is it hearsay, did the witness misinterpret what they saw, is it relevant to the case?

Saying that it is a sworn affidavit so it must be valid doesn't mean much. In order to prosecute one would have to show that it was a deliberate lie. That's not easy. That's why you don't see a lot of people being prosecuted for faulty affidavits. It's not worth the trouble.

In a perfect world, the people behind the design of voting machines should be apolitical. If found to favor any side of politics, they should be disqualified.
