I'm so glad I don't live in the cities. If anyone out there is reading this, get out now if there's any way you can. Leave the real rat race and feces of political and social ineptness and fake life. Just get out!!!! Get down and dirty in the rural areas where life is laid back and relatively crime free. The schools are better and life is better. People still make deals on a handshake and people help each other if it's needed.

Get as far from the cities as you can because that's where the hell is and continue to be.

If you absolutely CAN'T get out, you should have your finances in order. Pay off your house if you have a mortgage, cut up your credit cards and buy only cash. If you have been saving for a house, maybe think about going mobile. Buy a good truck and a trailer and travel.

And seriously, stock up on coffee, rice and beans and some spam, tuna and chicken and Franks hot sauce. Not because you're going to starve, but things could be pretty tight and pretty darn expensive. A jug or two of your favorite after dinner drink might make things much more tolerable.

I imagine the Dems are saying this now to goad Trump and his followers into causing as much trouble as possible before/on inauguration maximise the damage to the Reps.

If the Reps are smart they'll be as vocal as possible in making it clear that any such behaviour doesn't represent them. They need to make a huge collective show of accepting defeat and telling folk not to participate in protests.

Whether you, or they actually believe this is besides the point. The point is that the election isn't going to get recounted, or redone and everything Trump's 'people' do now is making it that much harder for the Reps to pose any kind of threat to the Dems at the next election. I'm personally more Dem than Rep, but democracy requires a strong and functioning opposition party (really it require more than 2, but that's another debate).

But the Reps haven't reacted sufficiently so far, so i guess they'll once again wait until it's too late to decry the next headline friendly abomination instead of getting out in front of it.
