Up to 25,000 National Guard troops are headed to DC now

Young airmen I work with from Michigan used to be army guard said her old unit is heading to DC.

Show of force I get this is getting ridiculous.

Certainly a lot of questions in this thread. Doesn't Qanon and Alex Jones have the answers to what's going on?
They have contacts in all the high places, right?

for 4 years we have been told Trump is a dictator, an authoritarian, a tyrant etc etc etc but has not once used the military to "show force" like this.

This is not normal. Many of those who work and live in DC say something is up.

I find this hard to believe there is a threat large enough to warrant all these boots on the ground for something virtual. I guess we will soon see.

Additionally, it seems that the Nat. Guard deployments are being amplified mostly from Democrat governors and Never Trumpers.

So this is a Democrat party.

True, but my impression from the press conference was that he declared an emergency specific to the inauguration as the briefing was about jamming radio and cell frequencies and the lockdown of DC.

Maybe Biden is gonna declare himself president for life and suspend the constitution,dissolve congress and the house so he can rout out all republican trump supporters for deportation.

If that happened, I think resistance would then be justified.

It is really weird. They don't just bring in 25000 national guard. They brought in national guard from all 50 states and 3 territories. Why bring in troops from Alaska Hawaii, Guam and Puerto Rico when there are other assets closer. That cost alone makes no sense.

I can't tell if its a show of unity for something or someone is really bad at military planning

It's weird because I can't find anything about Nat. Guard being brought in from Missouri, so are they bringing in troops from all 50 or just those governors sending?

I may just be looking in the wrong places with the wrong terms, but I found news of it from Kansas OK.

You aint heard yet? they are going to disarm the soldiers because they fear a attack from them!!

What about the president "visiting" other states and other cities in his role as president like all the other presidents did? Will he have to take these inflated number of NG with him everywhere?
