I know, I said that too, that is why it is raising my eyebrows.
I mean, this was not a 'surprise attack', not by any stretch. This happened is almost slow motion, it was at a speed that even though they were breaking windows, it didn't appear to be pandemonium back where the cops were, any of the cops, well, not until the shot rang out.

yeah I agree its weird that the person fired a shot when it seemed to be relatively calm.

And other people have raised this point that its weird that the person would fire into the side of police because it could have started a cross fire.

I don't know what went down behind the scenes either, but I do know that tempers where aflame. It was a situation that was unprecedented, so there was no primer or expectation for what was going to happen or what to do. I believe the fact that only one person was shot that day is remarkable, and shows that the police were not out to kill anyone. They should be praised for their restraint. I can see what was going on, and I was astonished, and I think I understand what was going on in their minds and hearts. I know how they feel. It does not make it right. Under no other circumstances, for no one, would this ever be considered right or appropriate.

As I said before. Everyone is showing us the videos to support the narrative they are pushing, and to make you believe and think what they want you to think, feel, and behave. I agree this whole thing was manipulated, unfortunately neither side of the people involved, was given an a copy of the script. These people were laid out to slaughter. Pawns set up to be sacrificed.

This video may make it a little clearer that the Capitol is a huge building and the number of police placed there to protect it and the elected leaders, was very small, and there were not enough of them to secure all access points. I am not trying to change anyone's mind. It is obvious that the majority here have chosen their side, and nothing presented that deviates or places a shade on the information they have chosen to believe will even be processed. The adversarial atmosphere is so strong that people are willing to kill or die over the whether royal blue or navy blue are the same or even a color.

A different view point from those that are interested. I just refuse to believe any influencer, site, or media, that tries to make this one sided. This is far more complex than most realize. Worse is that very few are paying attention to what we are signing on for. When you are sent into battle with no real strategy, means you are the strategy, and the sacrificial lamb.

I believe the only reason there was not a slaughter is that our police officers saw past the melee and saw their neighbors, family members, they saw themselves.

No, I have seen it before, I am just adding it al up together for the bigger picture.
I saw two cops before, then this video, which is the first time I saw it today, so that made it even more insane.

So, if you saw it, why didn't you post it?

Hey, add it all up and it doesn't make sense, that's all I am saying, speculating is about all we can do at this point.

In all seriousness no one but the one guy who shot had their guns drawn and he shot just one person. As some said the advancement was extremely slow and it was easy to see she was a woman, and not very big. The video showed the cop off in the corner to the left then he stepped out no warning no orders to get back, just one step forward and pulled the trigger...

Because today is my first day being back on ATS in awhile, and this happened on Wednesday and I would have figured that this would have been posted about 10 million times on here already.

another question is why didnt he shoot to incapacitate rather then to kill someone who is unarmed?

That's not what we train them to do. That question comes up every time someone gets shot and the answer is always the same.

If I was part of a crowd breaking out windows trying to force my way into the capitol I’d expect to be shot at.

Sorry to have to say it, but I am skeptical of the report that the
officer who just died was from an "apparent suicide".

He could have been killed to keep him from talking about
what he really saw and what he knew.

But we will probably never know.

Really, I agree with what you say for the most part, on all of it.

I saw cops doing some bad cops stuff that day, so not all think like how you said.
I saw people that were doing bad people stuff too, so they are not off of the hook either.
The cops have a job to do, the people are REALLY upset, I mean, this stuff, as you know, is big!
The cops need to think about their choice of income, because if they didn't know there was a possibility of this, or similar happening that day, they need to go back to cop school.
If that day comes and there is an uprising, whether it be cops or National Guard, they need to figure out NOW who's side they will be on, their families, friends, and neighbors could be out there, and, we are all in this together, really.

I have heard so many times that when the time comes, they will drop their guns and walk with us, so to speak, I know that ain't real life. I know that some will walk with us in mind, but they can't really leave their families swinging on that paycheck either.
I mean, yeah, if things get really bad, then and then only will those that are on the job policing us will make that serious decision of job versus family.
If there is a serious road ahead in the near future, I don't think we are anywhere near that decision yet, the family decision.

Doesn't matter what narrative is being pushed for me. I been at this game
way to long not to be able to make a call on something like. Well what we
here because it's called cut and dry. The vid shows what it shows
period. If what you say is the case. Where are the videos that will show
me this wasn't murder? Where's that narrative?

A lot of lefties are not only ignoring there were cops close on the protestor's side of the door, they are claiming the guys with rifles are armed protestors lol...... I have had to post the pics showing they are cops over and over, and still some keep on making that claim.



That is what I keep posting from the first released video that shows they are cops.

I am saying that we are so predictable and so easily manipulated that we can be played like images and characters in a video game.

The only thing that melee accomplished was to create more anger, confusion, hate, and insanity, among those that have bought into the narrative, and has given them them ammunition they need to strip us of more of those rights that so many on the internet claim they are willing to die for, and it may actually end up being just the win they needed to speed up their demise.
