Biden's not out to heal anything. He's already made remarks likening both Cruz and Hawley to Goebbels because they raised objections to the election process in PA. So he's calling senators Nazis which is totally all about unity and stuff.

And the long knives are out for them now. If anyone was likely to take leadership, one of the two of them was.
