Naah, I wouldn't really consider you a lurker.

Now me, on the other hand.

But, yeah. I originally came for the UFO's, but stayed for everything else.

There were black sedans following me, all over the place...

Then strange sounds in house, electronics "clicking and beeping"

Then came the black helicopters...

One day, went to take the trash out, bright flash of light, I woke up at my "terminal" and here I am all these years later. At least the food is good and an unlimited supply of booze.

Seriously though, "system" at work went down, Internet still worked, so googled, 9-11 and here I am.

I came in the beginning because a friend of mine was a big anti-monsanto vocalist and said he posted on here a lot. He even got banned from FB for being so outspoken about it. I never did know his user name, and sadly, he is passed now so he can't tell me.
He was right all along...
So I came here for that, then got into paranormal and I've always been into conspiracies.

And certainly not the political crap we're flooded with now.

I came because it's the one site on the web where conservatives and progressives can have nice peaceful conversations about the days events.

Not like those other sites...

I've been lurking since the old site, but originally it was aliens, demons, underground bases, and cryptids.

When I was signing up, I sat for a good 20 minutes trying to come up with a name.

For me it was always about the New World Order. I first joined 2008(ish) as JohnFischer or something like that. For whatever reason I had to sign in on a new computer but couldn't remember any of my account information, so this account was created. But... that's off topic.

I think more specifically I was researching the reptilian connection to the New World Order in search of a solid debunk. ATS assisted with debunking reptilian shape shifters beautifully.

I came to rely on ATS for new concepts and the thoughtful debate among its users. Many conspiracy theories have been thoroughly researched by very esteemed thinkers. One could make informed opinions with well sourced research on a variety of topics with users coming from many different angles including the skeptics.

Ahh, the old "What Brought your to ATS threads...

Odds are that I posted my answer somewhere in the original thread as this has been asked before.

I am a collector of odd trivia and useless information.

So the fact you went and ruined the mystery is ameliorated by the knowledge you were once an elevator repairman..

Wether that is a fact or you were just actually answering phones should be the last shred of intrigue you leave hanging..

I was hanging out on another conspiracy-type site for a couple of years (albeit a rather mono-dimensional one), and someone mentioned ATS. I spent an evening surfing this site, & it was pure joy—like going from our solar system to the Milky Way galaxy.

I lurked for a long time before getting an account—still prefer to lurk for the most part.

There are some amazing researchers in this community, I must say. That thread about MK-Ultra is dynamite. And I love the strong opinions—especially the ones I disagree with.
