I don't understand why the Supreme Court didn't shoot down the case the day it hit the docket.

They could see what was being alleged on Day #1.

Reminds me of the loan application where on page 50, it asks, "Have you ever ________________"? If the answer is yes, STOP, you do not qualify for a loan. Have a nice day.

I believe there’s a process.

Legal stuff kinda works that way.

That argument most certainly could be made....in court, yes?

If it hadn't be absurd on it's face, perhaps it would have been. Courts are not required to waste their time on nonsense.

Violations of the constitution are absurd?

There were none. No court has ruled that there were. SCOTUS apparently saw none either.

The next step for supporters of the President is to look ahead to when Congress meets on Jan. 6. I remain confident that the President will begin his second term on Jan. 20.

The Constitution establishes the Supreme Court as the national judiciary.

If you don't support that, even when they decide something you don't like, then you're not supporting the Constitution.

This isn't overly complex.

I disagree.

Many lawyers disagree.

Changing voting rules sans the state legislation is what is happened.

Changing voting rules sans state legislators is also not supporting the constitution.

Guess we're all culpable?

Doesn't mean there weren't

But they weren't the judges, were they?

Changing voting rules sans the state legislation is what is happened.
If Paxton had sued Texas he might have had a case.

Governor Greg Abbott today issued a Proclamation extending the early voting period for the November 3rd Election by nearly a week. Under this proclamation, early voting by personal appearance will begin on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, and continue through Friday, October 30, 2020. The proclamation also expands the period in which marked mail-in ballots may be delivered in person to the early voting clerk’s office, allowing

Did the Texas legislature do this? No? Then sue Texas too!

Yeah...I'll hang in there until Jan. 6th.
ATS may no longer be here then, but faith continues.

It looks like the SC has spoken.
Nothing left to do but sit back and enjoy the Biden/Harris horror show for 4 years.

Nah,we Trump supporters will probably be rounded up for our trip to
the "fun" camps!

Don't play victim..it's insulting to actual victims!
