My argument is that the MAGA approach on information is to cherry pick content to help get their confirmation bias.

What confirmation bias it that? Biden should be using numbers by approved experts, yes? Instead, he's spouting whatever comes into his head and doing it in such a way that he's spreading fear.

You posted the CDC numbers, but they are nowhere near the numbers Biden spouted.

What purpose does it serve to spout wild and highly inaccurate information like that?

That is a fair point on recent posts I have made. I am allowing real life drama to come out in posts here so I will own that one and will stop using the term MAGA. It's not a fair designation and doesn't really contribute to meaningful dialogue here. Thanks for pointing that out to me . =)


As for where I stand on Trump vs Biden.. Multiple times on ATS I have said this is literally choosing the lesser of two evils in my opinion. That I feel neither Trump or Biden should be leading this country and that both the Democratic and Republican parties have failed this country and need to give us better than Trump and Biden level possibilities going forward.

I'm still confused how Biden is the 'lesser of two evils'. Dude's a systemically racist career politician with close ties to corporations and military contractors. His cabinet is made up of people that are somehow actually worse than Trump's cabinet, which was pretty bad. From what I can see, biden is not the lesser of two evils, he's just more quiet about things.

I am not saying I think Biden is the lesser of those two evils or that Trump is the lesser of those two evils but rather using that expression to say that neither is a good choice IMO.

Could be worse. Also in Michigan. We were told we had to keep working as we are “critical workers”. No hazard pay. If we miss any days due to covid, it won’t effect our attendance points.

Here the catch; any day missed due to covid, 1% of our annual bonuses were CUT per day missed.

I was potentially exposed at work, had to miss 3 days waiting for test results. (Thankfully negative)
I lose 3% of my bonus right before Christmas. All for going to work.

About 10% of our staff is out for positive tests

While lately for the last 4 months or so fatality rate dropped off substantially. My thoughts are as the cold weather comes in the virus will build back better to a whole new lethal level. In addition, my suspicion is the vaccination will be far less effective and the side effects will bring on a new epidemic. Leadership will be far less helpful in encouraging progress and rather will encourage the world to live in fear. Before the end of next year starvation will be added to the epidemic in addition to suicide and violence for food.
