How could they?

Let's face facts, short of going door to door, and holding people at gunpoint.

People are not going to take anything they don't wish to take.

If these vaccinations become mainstream and acceptable they will do it with honey not vinegar imho.

Most of the Police over here don't even understand the laws they are there to uphold half the time if we are honest.

If in doubt look at how often they require sergeants or other higher up the chain of command officers to tell them how to do, or not to do, their job.

It is low because of the lockdowns and restrictions, which are economically unsustainable. Hence the need for vaccines.

Savvy, savvy?

Even at 0.7 it's still just a few points ahead of the US at 1.3 doesn't seem like much of a payoff again it's only off the charts at 4.0 plus and that happened for approximately 3 weeks back in March.
But hey I heard they will back off restrictions for 5 days during the Christmas holidays. Cause you know COVID recognizes holidays and all and it surely won't infect people during the holiday. It's a Christmas miracle, LOL please sir can I have some more.

The way you believe your government "telling porkies" you must have Neville Chamberlain in your bloodline, how does a dangerous virus stop for 5 days during the holiday.

www.nasdaq.com...

LONDON, Nov 24 (Reuters) - The four nations of the United Kingdom have agreed to relax COVID-19 restrictions for Christmas to allow up to three households to meet at home for five days.

England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have taken differing approaches to handling the pandemic so far but the leaders of the devolved nations reached agreement with London on Tuesday onrules governing the festive period.

Three households will be able to form a "Christmas bubble",allowing them to meet up at home, places of worship and in outdoor public places but not at indoor hospitality or entertainment venues from Dec. 23 until Dec. 27 under the plans.

"People want to be with their loved-ones and those close to them for what is the most important holiday of the year," senior minister Michael Gove said on Tuesday.

Yeah but yo gotta admit that there are dodgy things going on. There is a suggestion to make saying naughty things in your own home illegal...

"Proposals to prosecute individuals for hate crimes based on what they discuss in their own homes need to be more widely debated, free speech organisations have said.

The suggestion to remove the “dwelling” privacy exemption from criminal legislation is buried in a few paragraphs of the Law Commission’s 544-page consultation on hate crime published in September."

www.theguardian.com...

Given that, one can easily see where discussions may turn into legislation.

Thank you for telling me what I already know. Do you think we all agree with Govt policy all the time or what? If so, you are sadly mistaken.

What's it to you, anyway?

Coz putnam6 is free to discuss whatever he wishes, with whomever he wishes, just like we are.

And around and around we go, where it stops nobody knows.

No point if taking exception to other people's opinions mate.

End of the day opinions are like bumholes, everyone has one, and other peoples tend to stink.

I thought that was pretty much what we do on here?

I just take exception to lies promoting an agenda and general BS .

OK. The idiot who is spreading nonsense like the vaccines will alter our DNA and " hook us up to an AI interface"?

That one?

How do I feel about that?

I think it is complete and utter nonsense, as anyone with half a functioning brain cell would think.

It's not anything to me my friend just the free speech angle honestly.

However, considering our new President is all for the globalist view I can see the same kind of rhetoric coming from America's leaders in the near future. Most of the time when free speech invoked these days I don't agree with its contents I do agree it doesn't need to be suppressed in any way shape or form.

It pretty much mirrors the concerns of a few on ATS when the lockdowns began, that once they lockdown it will be difficult to stop them from encroaching on individual freedoms. I wasn't opposed to the original lockdowns even argued for them here, but the last few months it seems more and more those concerned were mostly correct.

I take it you fully understand mRNA and this being the first ever gamble with such as a vaccine. ?

Clearly the good Dr does not understand it either.

I do not understand the science, I'd be the first to admit. Do you?

But I do understand complete and utter nonsense when I see it.

So, enlighten me on the science that might suggest how a vaccine can link us up to an AI interface?

Yip.
Absolutely barmy.

I don't know one single person who can understand the logic behind this.

As I've said time and time again; Boris's handling of this is baffling and full of inconsistencies, contradictions and one U-turn after another.

His treatment of the hospitality industry has been disgraceful and this Christmas lifting of restrictions contradicts the science he has been preaching about and according to the narrative he himself has been pushing could be catastrophic for our NHS.

If the restrictions can be lifted for Xmas they should be lifted now.

Then we can agree on something. That can only be a good thing!

Refreshing to hear you accepting your new President. Personally I have always thought that either choice you have had for candidates have been rubbish - lesser of two evils and all that.

Glad Trump is toast but Harris scares me rigid.

Fully agree. The High Streets next year will be unrecognisable. Was going to say full of charity shops but I doubt even they will survive.

Winter is coming.

Scaremongering mate....it'll never happen.

If there's ever even the remotest chance of it happening then I assure you I'd be at the forefront of those opposing such measures.

That's exactly why our police are specifically NOT part of the law making process unless law makers decide to consult them.
They categorically do not propose new laws......and if individual officers choose to voice their personal opinons they are just that, personal opinions, and NOT the official stance of all our police forces etc.

I do think that there are elements within political circles and other senior civil servants, military, police and clergy who may be trying to manipulate events in order to further an elitist agenda......but that's just the old conspiracy theorist in me and I have no definitive evidence really to support it just gut feeling and an impression I'm getting. (Which is why I tend not to talk about it).

And if we had an Opposition worth a wank they'd be tearing Boris another arsehole......but no, Starmer just meekly acquiesces.
And the LibDems? - who are they again?

I ridicule our colonial cousins then when I look at the complete shower of #e we have I really do wonder who is worse off?

They have Kamala Harris - the single biggest threat to the 'American way of life' I've ever known - we have Diane Abbot??

Never?

My problem with UK policing is that they are just into busting low hanging fruit. It's not their fault though...they are undermanned. I bought a car from a copper and he was saying they had FOUR to cover a massive area around Ipswich. They couldn't even man the phones.

And I am here because of conspiracies. I dont need evidence, that makes it a fact. I like the THOUGHT of something and seeing it proved later.

I don't think most of us are sure what we do here any longer.

I mean the majority of us came for the conspiracies and ancient esoteric knowledge type information.

But it's just all politics politics politics.

If that does not constitute bull crap I'm not sure what does any longer. LoL
