How is this even close to legal?
Public health order.
Department of Health.
Just like grocers/restaurants can be temp closed for failure to be up to health code.
A dozen grocery stores around the state have been forced to close for two weeks because of a public health order issued by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham at a time when the state’s residents are suffering from record high unemployment and food insecurity, critics say.
The order requires businesses with four or more rapid responses of COVID-19 cases reported within in a 14-day period to close for two weeks

Not exactly:

Not "grocery stores" but "a dozen grocery stores around the state." How many grocery stores does the state have? I can count a dozen grocery stores within a ten mile radius of my house. I would bet there are several thousand others. Reading comprehension matters.

There is a real virus. And initially lockdowns seemed like a good idea. But its almost a year later, and the western world is still struggling. Lockdowns clearly don't work with the way western society functions.
But as time has gone on, for a coronavirus, and what is happening politically world wide, I can concede to initial thoughts and opinions. We live in interesting times.
so it IS plural?

How about this Oh Wise One. It’s an easy fix for someone with a car or means of transport to get to another store across town (maybe) but what if you lack a phone or internet to get your Gurbhub/Door Dash/etc on.
What then? Bc starving is so in Vogue. I’ll shut up now
You didn’t even address the internet to order ya know? Or how someone is supposed to get info/contact about said hypothetical socialist “I remember ice cream” 2021 America. Grub hub. Door dash. Or do they all wait until you figure this all out. As you clearly have.

i keep hearing complaining about people out of work, here is a perfect business opportunity for them. people can do as people in other countries did. someone who has their own transportation can go buy food, then take it around areas where the grocery store has needed to temporarily shut down, and sell that food to those who need it. some even went as far as buying food directly from the farmers, transported it or arranged transport for it. then went around in their vehicles, or even hand carts to sell it door to door in areas that had issues with people being able to go to a store (because there was no public transportation allowed to operate at all). and of course that was on top of the (free), food that the government was delivering to everybody during the lockdown. there are ways to deal with such things. it just takes people to think, and do, instead of just complaining about it.

I work in hospitals.
These are the facts.
If a person, any person, goes to the hospital for anything, from apendicitus, to a broken hip, to a car wreck. . . they are tested for Covid.
If they are Covid positive, then they are no longer a broken hip patient, a car wreck patient, they are a Covid patient.
Vent usage is actually down or at normal levels.
I know this because I get census reports for the state of Oregon.

Also what you’re talking about takes weeks if not months to implement if it all went to chit.
These stores be closed now.
