A 17-year-old from Illinois who is charged with killing two people during a protest in Wisconsin and whose case has become a rallying cry for some conservatives posted $2 million bail Friday and was released from custody.

Kyle Rittenhouse is accused of fatally shooting Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and wounding Gaige Grosskreutz during a demonstration Aug. 25 that followed the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha. He posted bond through his attorney at about 2 p.m., Kenosha County Sheriff’s Sgt. David Wright said.

Kyle Rittenhouse released after posting $2 million bail

Hey ATS!

Today Kyle Rittenhouse has been released.

I consider this a win because it was clear from the video that he was defending himself and certain charges were politically motivated.

What do you think, ATS?

Are you happy about this?

The kid shouldn’t have been arrested in the first place. Definitely politically motivated.

I hope he stays safe on the outside.

Antifa & BLM Terrorists were looking for his cell number after his arrest.

By ending the riots in Kenosha he saved lives and property.

One more thing. Isn’t 2 million a lot for bail on a 17 year old kid, that’s not a flight risk? where in the hell would he go, most of the boarders are closed?

$2 million dollar bail is ridiculous.
Bail should be directly related to the probability of flight, not the crime in question.

It's a good thing he knew how to use his rifle or he would've been killed that night by the mob.

I've read elsewhere the bail was so high because of the risk to his life outside of the station.

Sad state of affairs when a 17 year old who defended himself from a pedophile and 2 armed rioters has to worry for his life.

Jeffery Epstein was supposed to be safe in a jail cell too.
I'd take my chances on the outside.

Mr Epstein had far greater enemies than Kenosha Kyle. His fate was sealed long ago.

From what i've heard the police and jail guards went out of their way to ensure the safety of Kyle.

Which is unsurprising since any reasonable person can see plain as day that he committed no crime.

If he posted bail, he should be out like everyone else.
You know that's how the laws work, just like how laws work on who should be allowed to use guns.

I suspect a "privilege" argument will be incoming shortly.

California recently tried to eliminate monetary based bail, but surprisingly, and I mean SUR-PRIS-ING-LY, the voters rejected that bs.

I'm still stunned it didn't pass considering.

Should have been denied bail.

In a just world, he would have no fears...but given the same people saying the election was a free and fair election the kid might be hung.
