Once again, I have to go behind enemy lines

Once again I go behind enemy lines.

That's right.

I'll be spending the next two weeks (actually 10 days) in California.

I have been invited to this state to be a part of a team of clinical engineers that will work with the California Department of Public Health to re-open a hospital that was closed due to wild fires being nearby two months ago.

I will have to stay at a resort near the hospital in Napa Valley.

I have my kale, pro-Biden stickers, and a pink hat so my disguise should be sufficient.

I am nervous though because I opted out of a facial tattoo of the BLM sign.

So there is some risk involved.

I will chronical my trip to this haunted land in case I don't make it back, I am found or captured.

Pray for me.

My best friend just moved back from kalifornia. He told me they all like to one up you. So be sure to not be impressed with anyone you talk to and try to make them feel inferior based on your life experiences.

Are you going to be bombing any children and bringing democracy in a camouflage all terrain vehicle as is tradition Americans enter a 3rd world country?

Or will you politely enjoy your stay as you take in the sights?

I told the hotel that I was a smoker and what I'd be doing there so they up-graded me to a suite with a balcony so I could smoke without leaving my room.

No extra charge.

Napa is pretty cool, I like that whole area including Sonoma. The food and drinks scene is only matched by some places in Italy or France.

I wanted to go there the weekend before Thanksgiving but the wife doesn't want to wear a face diaper for six hours heading out so we're gonna go piss people off in Charleston instead.

I'm in Portland tonight, have an early flight out to Oakland (just a 90 minute flight) and have to pick up the rental and then a meet-and-greet at the hospital with the "important people" tomorrow.

Then it's 10 hour days for the next week and a half.

We're actually still in negotiations with state-run security of the hospital.

We stated that we'd work weekends to make sure the job was done right but they started getting pissy about the OT charges.

You shouldn’t have telegraphed your visit. I just contacted the leader of the local chapter of anti-fa and let them know where you’re staying, and how long you’ll be there.
