Mostly getting rid of the gang of grifters and criminals that make up the Trump government. Betsy Devos, head of department of education and husband to President of MLM pyramid scheme Amway, who has tried to destroy the education system in this country at every turn.

William Barr, Iran Contra alumni who has spent his career and is famous for getting dirty politicians off the hook. Who was coincidentally (I’m sure) appointed as attorney general after he wrote an editorial expressing that the President is above the law.

Paula White, Trumps bat#### crazy spiritual adviser. Seen here speaking in tongues to secure Trumps reelection.

Link

I’d pay $500 to watch her get rolled down the front steps of the White House.

Stephen Miller. Noted lizard person and confidant of the president. Famous for being the only proud Nazi to not publicly renounce his beliefs while working in the White House. Architect of most of the bigoted EO’s and the man behind ripping children from their families at the border.

Mike Pence. Vice President, science denier, and believer that the world is only 6000 years old. Also head of coronavirus task force. Seriously.

That’s just off the top of my head.

And what education system is that??? The one that hasn't taught civics courses for years??? The one that teaches 5 year olds how to masterbate and 12 year olds the joys of anal sex??? The system that tells your kids they can be a male or a female??? The one that ignores the inner city kids while catering to the suburb schools???

You'd better love that stuff because it's full steam ahead now...

I've been think about this a lot and the only thing I can really think of is not hearing about Trump 24/7 on the news.

"omg Trump ate a baby today" etc

I do not expect history to be favorable to Trump and the Trump era.

Depends on who is writing the history, doesn't it....

I expect a new drive to take our 401K accounts and replace it with Social Security 2 or their MyIRA scheme.

….

I think the people calling for armed conflict in the streets right now are crazy, but I'll tell you what...the first person who even tries to lay a hand on my 401k will have me armed up and in the street faster than you can say "OH S#!"

THAT is the absolute FINAL straw!!

And that is an absolute PROMISE!

My retirement is an absolute NO-GO / NO-FLY zone!! Touch that, and there is absolutely nothing left to lose! All bets are off!

Ole Creepy Joe has already said he wants to do away with 401(k) and IRA accounts so help with wealth equality

Must have been an extremely low one.

It will be good NOT to hear trump Administration BS / propaganda briefings.
To see the US rejoining a global effort on environmental issues.
To see a fully functional First Lady again.
Seeing the first female VP.

You will get everything you hope for .

And I truly hope it's what is best for this country, I truly hope it works.

Oh but the look on your face when it all goes sideways
cant wait.

Not looking forward to it but the UBI was a big card in Bernie's and Liz's platform. If they pulled back so Joe could be installed as the DNC Presidential candidate who knows. Their influence along with another extended COVID shutdown is just something that could likely pop up early in a Biden administration. Warren hasn't been shy about wanting an appointment, and Bernie has likely got more than Biden's ears he likely has a firm grip on his cajones too.

A cacophony of 'NOT MY PRESIDENT!' from the right.

Probably not a lot else if the GOP retains the Senate. It'll be a pretty boring and uneventful term.

HIGHER taxes. HIGHER energy costs - gas, electric, you name it. Loss of my health care and it being replaced with something substandard and HIGHER taxes to pay for that. Ever increasing pressure to conform to a prescribed orthodoxy in thought as prescribed by the left. More cancel culture and more aggressive cancel culture.

Joe Biden will last about as long as William Henry Harrison did.

Yeah...dunno if it's better that way or not though. Was definitely better in my province pre-legalization. Prices were better, there were more choices, more dispensaries, better products, possession was pretty much ignored unless you had ridiculously large amounts, now it's 30g or some ridiculous 'equivalents', wearing clothing with a pot leaf on it never used to be a crime. As the law's written, 'advertising or promoting cannabis in areas children may see' includes such things as wearing some clothes promoting a dispensary or just weed in general walking down the street where some kids may be. The maximum punishment for that's 14 years in prison.

Meanwhile, I can go buy all the alcohol branded clothing I want, hell they give that # away free with beer, which is something you're also not allowed to do under the new laws, give free samples or giveaways or promotions or sales of any kind.

I was in a college prepatory high school

In a largely college educated family

In a state that has one of the largest colleges per square mile.

College wasn't a choice for me. It was a mandate. We were taught that unless you go to college you would be begging for pennies on the street.

I went to school for International Business, with a minor in environmental science. I started university in 2007.. right after the recession hit. When I got out of school, there were no entry level jobs making 50k plus like we were told.

My loans total $65,000

I have a job as a data analyst for a major financial company now.

I have a good salary.

But when your loans total $750 a month... Unless your making 6 figures.. that isn't going to work these days. Especially of you work and live in an area where a 1 bedroom apt is like $1000 a month minimum.

Utilities, car note, phone, food...

And if you have bad credit.. all of those things become MORE expensive

My car note is $600 a month because my Interest rate was wild bc of my loans.

The struggles I'm having are the struggle tons of millennials are having, when they were stunted by the recession during and after college.

I'm a contributing member of society, I have desirable skills, I bust my butt at work, I'm highly educated.

There's no reason that a person in my situation should have to deal with a $750 loan bill.

Universities should be free, or at least the cost should be severely reduced.

People want to know why the millennial generation isn't having as many kids, and why they aren't purchasing homes...

It's because we have no financial stability. We have massive student loan debt and got out of school during the largest recession since the great depression that set us back YEARS.

I don't disagree that college is expensive. I know, I paid for mine.

I also don't disagree that college tuition should be reduced. Personally, I think it's a rip off for what you get, and what I see as a manager hiring engineers.

However, what I do disagree with is willingly getting into something you don't know you can get out of, like a loan. You see, that's the rub.

They had college loans way back when I was in school too, but I knew to never take one out. Why? Because I couldn't guarantee I could pay it back. So, I worked until I had enough money to pay my tuition, and when that money ran out, I went back to work until I could do it again.

My ex-wife had a great big fat college loan, with hefty payments. I always asked her why she went to the most expensive school she could find out of state. Her response...because I wanted to, it was a more fun college. Well, BS! She could have gone to college for a Communications degree in AK for free, but no, she had to go to Oregon State. Why? Because it was more fun...not because they offered a better Communications degree. Hell, there were a lot of colleges I wanted to go to because they had more programs and were...more fun, but you know what? I didn't. I did what I could afford.

I'm convinced if you could give the people whining about college debts truth serum better than 70% of them would tell you the reason their college debt is so staggering is because no one screwed their ass down to a chair and pounded some REALITY and FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY into their skulls...and they just went and did what they wanted, regardless of future implications. Because it was more fun.

So, while I feel bad for your debt, I don't feel one bit sorry for you having to pay it! It was a choice, and YOU made it.

I had a choice too, but my choice was a little different than yours.

Sorry.

ETA - Full disclosure, I went to college out of state also, Utah. But I did this not because it was more fun, Wyoming would have been WAY more fun...and that's why I didn't go there! I'd probably wouldn't have lived through the experience, and I knew it. I wanted to learn something, not party (not saying you partied, but just this was my reasoning at the time).

No one forces you to take loans, and when the government guarantees loans to everyone, then there is no incentive for schools to keep their own costs down -- government will pay it, right? So you take out the loans, and no one cares if you can pay it back.

That's on you.

Trade jobs are the better deal these days unless you go into certain narrow professions.
