If I'm any example, quite a few, though they wouldn't admit it and alienate friends.

Trump has yuge flaws and an army of knuckle draggers worshiping him (along with perfectly nice, normal people, I know). He's also easy to paint as a fascist wannabe... but IS he? I also wish the guy could give a little and at least TRY to bring the country back together instead of acting like a snide frat boy.

But as the Dems went full on swamp and picked the worst, psuedo safest choice, and especially after what they did in '16 to the first semi-honest politician in decades, they've lost me.

I wish we had a decent candidate that was compassionate, honest, wise, capable and had a vision of the future that was inspiring, but we work with what "they" give us. Maybe in 2024, if we're still around.

People with such Abnormal Thought Processes should be Held by Law in Mental Institutions and Given Counseling . Dangers to Societies Norms Must be Addressed ASAP for the Good of All Others.........

You mean like when Trump first threatened to withhold disaster relief for California wildfires (January, 2019) because California doesn’t agree with his political views? Or when he threatened to withhold disaster declaration for Michigan because Michigan didn’t agree with his political views (March 2020)? Or when he again threatened to withhold disaster relief for California wildfires (August, 2020)? Is that the kind of Abnormal Thought Process you’re talking about?

Ah NO .. .NEXT .

California does in fact need to be more accountable for their nonsense. Let me be perfectly honest in saying that california is like a drug addict who spends all their money on crack then panders to the public for diapers and baby food money so their child does not go hungry. We all feel sympathy for that child but the parents priorities are out of order.

please remember this.

just as you cant understand them, they cant understand you.

ive seen both sides act crazy, deny facts, back up their guy as ok when he does the same thing they damn the other guy for.

conservative and liberal mindsets are actually very different, and brain scans show they actually have different brain structures. (they dont know if youre born that way, or if it develops over time, tho.)

the most any intelligent person can do is try to understand the other side. understanding and agreeing are not the same thing, btw.

after all, theres good people on both sides.

Fwiw, i feel ya. I write software in healthcare for many years. When meaningful use came about it tanked a lot of small companies. Those records could be anyones so I treat them like they could be my own mothers. Having a lot of experience doing ETL I had access to a lot of proprietary knowledge (dufferent vendor databases) and wrote software to extract clinical data and encounter notes to a common format for a half dozen major softwares and two document management systems which I offered for free to most private practices. The corporations that bought up the small companies generally had no migration path or held the records hostage for tens of thousands of dollars to extract out. I changed that and said if anyone has a prpblem with this let them sue me because continuity of care was more important to me than the potential fallout if a vendor wanted to take issue. Even just last month I helped a clinic with an extract 7 years later. I have no political bias when it comes to peoples health and it disgusts me some would find it acceptable to practice medicine based on political affiliation. Whoever made such a post should have their license revoked indefinitely if they do really practice medicine.

I wonder where that leaves those of us who are more centrist in our thinking? I like and dislike policies and ideas from both sides.

Born that way? Not likely. We have a tendency to become what we consume. That's why we need balance in our diet.

The problem is very simple - you can't simplify people into neat categories and stick them into their corresponding containers - "Liberal" / "Conservative" / "Left" / "Right"..

People actually have diverse views.

Well first of all prob +80% of people don't know whats going on or how things work .. so you can't really blame people for being stupid/ignorant.

Which is why I place the blame where it belongs. Squarely on the shoulders of the institutions and outlets of propaganda. None of us are above being deceived.

Most people don't know the difference between classical liberalism and neoliberalism. Furthermore if you were to ask someone to explain how classical liberalism and American conservatism relate to one another they wouldn't able to.

Lifelong left leaning liberal who was going to vote Biden, despite knowing he was a corrupt swamp creature, until I really started to absorb the multi-pronged corporate media attack on Trump.

Trump really is a narcissist and a nepotist, and he's not draining the corruption as far as I can tell, but he isn't enabling the corporate war machine, nor the outsourcing of our manufacturing and has exposed the bias in our media. I asked myself if I was okay with the spin since it went with my views, and my answer is no... unbiased truth matters.

Weird election year.

I wasn't a very big fan of Trump back in 2015/16. The constant attack from the media is what pushed me behind him.

I wonder how many other Trump voters the media has ironically created with their nonstop partisan bias.

Yep, same here.
I wasn't going to vote in 16' until I saw them "protesting" Trump, I think it was in Phoenix. They shut down roads leading to a Trump rally so people couldn't get to hear what the man had to say. That's when I decided to support President Trump.
Before that I had come to the conclusion that it didn't matter anymore, The candidates, left & right were all globalist neocons. Now that is still my view of many republicans and my view of most on the left has moved to full on communist. The middle has become most of the globalist neocons IMO.
I truly believe President Trump is one of the few that loves a capitalist America and I believe he puts American citizens as his first priority.
So thanks deranged leftists for your uncontrolled hate, you are the reason President Trump was elected and the reason he will serve 4 more years.

Tulsi supported all the communist goals of the progressives. She just sounded saner and was easier on the eyes.
I am thankful she called out camala's BS.

back in the day democrats like Tip O'Neil would trash talk the Republicans in public then go to the White House and work out legislation over a few drinks with Uncle Ronnie.

change started in the 1990s. the success of Republican policies was undeniable so the democrats started concentrating on social issues and character attacks. people like the Clintons and Harry Reid increased the vitriol on the Republicans and started to believe their own propaganda.

now we have Pelosi and a hysterical media that cannot speak of Republicans without intense hatred and dishonesty.

I can't rationally comprehend how nearly half of the USA supports the left today.

In 1856, Democrat Rep. Brooks savagely beat Republican Sen. Sumner bloody with a metal-headed cane on the floor of the US Senate.

We aren't quite there yet, fortunately, and it's nice to know we can bounce back from such incivility to our current state of...er...relative amenity.

I hope you're not the person that wrote the software for my PCP's office. It's horrible.

I used to work for a hospital that changed from Cerner & Allscripts to a different system. I saw the claims that "we can't extract your old data" and I've done enough work with programming and databases to know that's bunk.

I'm with you, I believe that particular person should be banned from ever dealing with public health in any way, but if someone dies from his refusal to treat, that will be enough to take him down. I'm beginning to suspect that all of that is BS though, I think he spewed that to get attention. There is a lot of rage in his words though so who knows? Maybe the continual hate-filled propaganda from the Left affected him somehow.

The disgusting rhetoric that has been pushed hard in the media for so many years has done serious damage to our country. Cronkite is probably spinning in his grave.
