I've seen people making the following flawed assumption:

1. Rudy has had the drive for x amount of time.
2. If there's CP on it, Rudy has known about it for that same x amount of time.
3. If he didn't immediately contact LE that's a crime.

The flaw in this assumption comes at step 2:

Once you come into possession of a digital storage device, you don't immediately know about ALL of the contents. It takes time to search through it and find things.

We don't know exactly when he purportedly discovered CP, if he did. The emails/texts could have been the first discovery of note, then as he continued to search through it he found suspicious pictures.

Bottom line, we don't know the exact timeline, so any conclusions you derive from that will be shaky at best.

The FBI have had it for months. Rudy never comes out and says child porn, I think so far he has just said disgusting and illegal. So it's either gotta be kids, or him plowing farm animals. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head it could be. I think it was unnamed sources so far that came out and specifically mentions children. And that one chinese guy that predicted what would be on it.

Should go without saying that I 100% agree; if the mother knows and did nothing, that is grounds for removing the child from her custody IMO.

I am not a Rudy fan, for a variety of reasons. I will just say that he, as a former prosecutor, might have held to some semblance of restraint all this time, out of the fleeting hope/wish that law enforcement (FBI!!!) might for once show 1 f'n ounce of gumption and DO. SOMETHING. Then, at the 11th hour, when it was clear this was being swept under the rug, he just said F IT, if they won't act, I will.

I am throwing this out there AS A POTENTIAL REASON before you flame me, it is also very possible Rudy is merely choosing this time now for self-serving reasons; wouldn't shock me in the least.
