Nick Pope – Twenty Five Years Taking the UAPee?

It did not take long for them to group up and spread the news . Philip, Dr Clarke, Kevin Randle and of course Nick Redfern tagging not far behind.

I knew Philip would be the team leader in all of this. Though am not so sure anyone really cares . Most is such old news.

Nick is just getting back some of the medicine that he has been giving out over the years, what I find surprising is that it has taken so long to call him out.

Do you really think it will make much difference Wobb. Philip is spreading it like its all brand new when its not , hes much like a dog with a bone from what I can see just now.

The trouble is once you start poking around Pope it also opens up others who have associated with him . It seems to me that its pretty much a catch 22 situation as I see it. The UFO community is a mess and they do love to eat their own. There really is a much bigger game afoot though so who knows where it shall all lead.

From what I see they are always having a pop at someone in the UFO community, although nick got nasty himself now it's all coming back.
There are too many egos in ufology and it will eat itself as some seem to be more interested in slagging of other researchers rather than doing some serious investigation on the phenomenon.

It is also interesting to note that those who used Pope during the larry Campaign are not springing out to defend Saint Nick, or to assist Philip.

Interesting though who they have enlisted to help with the Nick Pope campaign,the very one John Burroughs is using to advertise his new book. hmmmm.

Nick Redferns review of the book is out now of it. Philip is trying very hard re spreading all things Nick, it makes one wonder what happened when Nick went to visit Philip in is home not to mention him been pretty clueless?

where it has been known for years that this incident was caused by a Russian rocket burning up in the atmosphere and the later sighting was a police helicopter. Unless there was an alien spaceship sighted in the same area at the same times.

But Nick carries on....

There is no physical radar evidence from the case. Just people surfacing decades later with a story about seeing blips on radar.

The radiation evidence comes from the Halt Tape. Which never mentions more than “seven tenths”or 0.07 mR/h. Which was a small spike in the reading and nowhere near dangerous levels. Pope has ignored the subsequent statement by Giles Cowling that

....I share the NRPB view that the use of a high-range survey instruments to measure (accurately) environmental levels of radiation is somewhat questionable and this must throw some doubt on the validity of the data reported.”

This is why ufology never gets anywhere. Because people like Nick Pope perpetuate a mystery where there is none.

At least old Nick keeps the Rendlesham story alive despite all his sins . As far as all the rest of his waffle goes, what do you expect to read in such news rags MM?

PS. My favourite was last year's gobble re Prince Philip. Hanson had given the Prince a copy of the Halt Perspective, or least the secretary. I think the Prince read it during summer. Must of been hard, he does not see too well. Poor man.😇

There were no ufo type orbs. It was debris from a Russian rocket and then later a police helicopter. If you read the thread this is well documented. From page 1 to save you clicking a link.

Spanish investigator Snr. Ballester Olmos provided Nick Pope with an explanation for the these sightings in March 1994 [enclosing copies of a NORAD statement showing the UFO was actually booster rockets from the Russian Cosmos 2238 satellite]All information is contained in the MoD File DEFE 1967/1.



In his reply (dated 6th April 1994) Nick Pope stated:

“I think it is clear that most of the UFO sightings that occurred on the night in question can be attributed to this event”

So no orbs at all and Nick is even on the record.

Another reason ufology gets nowhere is because people make statements off the "top of their head" without checking the facts or perhaps not wanting to check them in case they challenge their beliefs.

if it is just a US test aircraft why not just burry it all the way, pictures of the B2 and F117 that were taken NEVER made it to the public let alone other more secret aircraft.

during his time at the MoD and after I'm sure he is under lifetime orders to keep certain things quite how ever he can, otherwise Nick might get a new wardrobe.

Being honest and realistic about it I'm still convinced that ufo orbs of the amber orange type were seen over Shawbury, it just might not be during this Ruskie rocket incident.

I'm going to check out the local rag the Shropshire Star and see if there was some reference to them back in the day, other than that it must have been a dream and these things do happen

The reports in the tabloids were actually inaccurate. The photograph is not owned by the UK MoD and would not be applicable for release by them.[see Page 1 of this thread]

The UK MoD had originally redacted the name[s] of the photographer[s] of the object. He sent the photos to the Daily Record. The name[s] would normally have been released in 2021 under previous archive records 30 year rule. But the UK's FOI Act means that isn't necessarily the case. Dr David Clarke had appealed for the names to be unredacted. Thus opening up the possibility named persons might be willing to go "on the record".

Such action would probably open a can of worms that would make things awkward for the MoD, the photographer and the Daily Record newspaper.

what i means is


1. that this in fact did happen and was disavowed by all nations asked(in secret at the time, including the US) and was HIGHLY strange by any account. the MoD or whoever made negatives disappear from a newspapers files to the hikers handing over everything to the MoD and never coming forward(paid-off well mostlikly) let alone the crafts performance.

2. the replications wee have are said to be bang on, and even baking in some errors what ever it was, is still secret officially and i wouldn't have seen it or known about with out Nick Pope
