I agree with other posters:

1. It's about power not necessarily paper money. You can only enjoy so many homes and drink so many glasses of expensive wine. Socialism gives them control over other people in a way paper money can't

2. Regardless of any official higher tax on the wealthy, they will end up making more money.
Social programs enabled Walmart to shift the cost of employment to the Government. If it wasn't for government subsidized housing, food and rent, Walmart wouldn't have a healthy workforce.

Socialism also gives them the opportunity for monopolies. If all the businesses are state-run, they can knock out most competition.

But I do agree with some socialism like universal income and health care.

These corporations bankroll the politicians.

When we attack overseas terrorists, we go after their bankrollers as well as the terrorists.

Unfortunately because they have not only made politics a team sport they have made it into a religion. Nothing and I mean nothing is more important to the majority of the political cheerleaders than protecting their own political party. Not even family or friends, as they are willing to loose them for protecting their party.

On the left you have the idiots that think giving more money and more power to a gov't CONTROLLED by the Oligarch corporations is a good idea.

On the right you have the idiots that think gov't is in control and gov't is the one that does everything stupid and wasteful and only the Oligarch corporations can make good decisions. However, they completely ignore or dont understand that gov't does nothing by it self. You have it right about the oligarch corporations but then you went a bit off the rails.

The deal is that the tech companies, (all) are highly dependent upon and subservient to China. China backs the Dems and the Dems represent the One-Party State solution the Tech companies so badly want. The Tech companies see huge profits, huge ongoing profits from contracts for the total surveillance state ruled by the One Party. By setting up the One-Party State, the Dems can then install the total surveillance state and with that, all commerce, all political speech and all "news' outlets will be managed by the Tech companies.

That's an excellent question. One I have wondered about myself. One problem trying to figure it out is that we are looking at the past trying to figure out the future. I can't figure out what is going to happen after this election much less why these capitalist derived companies are doing what they are doing. Is it that they realize that continued capitalism needs replacing for the welfare of the planet and man's continuing survival going forward? I remember hearing that we are now in another great extinction event right now because of human influence over our environment. Is that it?
