Because they'll see the data being used. I went back and edited my original post because I completely forgot to say my point:
Years ago if you didn't have data on your plan you could root your phone to use it like a modem. They could see you using data but couldn't prove you're actually using it because it's not on your plan hence they would send a letter asking you to stop but couldn't legally do anything else.

Edit: That's how my buddy got to play xbox live when we were teens. It was hilarious.

Judging by the last year of Roberts' anti-Trump agenda ruling, is he throwing a hissy fit about the process because muh elections?

Yes, he is legit. Have been listening to him for awhile. He had some great books about Spygate that he wrote and his commentary is very good. From what I have seen he is a stand up guy and his goal for both Parler and Rumble is to be censor free, but with the obvious things being taken down such as porn and extreme violence or extreme hate speech
