This was my first. It attracted way too many PMs from the ladies.

I changed it because I wanted to post very mean posts and I thought it was a bit too much like I was using my Grand Daughter as a human shield.

That would be cheating. Against the rules of conflict, and what not.

These are good options but I think no avatar is the best. It symbolizes lost potential like that of a "lost book"

I'm trying my best to be a Dumbass. Hard work i must say it's not always easy.

But on a serious note, I wish I could hide flags and stars at well so I can simply read and not being aware of who is a popular poster or what is a popular thread. Give me that basic raw info without the glamour of being prejudged by others that may or may not share my view.

Brilliant ideas and brilliant views speak for themselves without knowing who posted them.

Anyways I did a little experiment for part of 2019. I lurked the site logged out so all I got were faceless posts and ads. I must say it was GREAT. I read posts from members I might have been conditioned to skip due to their avatar.

So great in fact was the experience that the NBuddha had to return.

I really appreciate what every member brings, even if it leads to argument or disparaging remarks. We all challenged each other to be better, to bring our A-game.

ATS is ATS. And ATS is good people, like you, Dumbass.

Few may understand just what it takes be a Dumbass, but I feel your Dumbass pain brother. You are a better Dumbass than I could ever hope to be.

Well I earned my fancy new "avatar" by contributing to the short story contests, in which I've won 2nd place three times. Braggin of course.

Almost human?

Actually, the nicotine stained thing is my left index finger (if you think that nail is long you should see the nails on my thumbs.) The other finger is left middle finger.

I was told once when I was young that the sign of a story teller was one long thumb nail. I couldn't remember if it was left or right, so I keep both long just in case.

How long? I've got a bit of length on my right thumbnail for guitar picking. Perhaps a double duty thumbnail. It's not as long as some guitar players, though. I've seen some with nasty nails.

I just compared. Both thumbnails about the same length as that index finger. So they broke a couple months ago. They'll make a comeback though.

Ghandi once said: "Be the change you want to see in the world"

I want a world where people can offend eachother and don't need to walk on eggshells. If someone offends me or I them the repercussion would simply be "we don't do business".

Hence I stepped up my offending game, trigger game and have no shame to make remarks that I would have refrained from 10 years ago.

My motto is WWRJDD? What would Ronnie James Dio do? He was a bad ass short dude with killer pipes and great lyrics, even if no one really knows what the hell he was talking about. I probably should have changed it with a picture of Neil Peart after he suddenly passed earlier this year as he was a much bigger influence on my musical tastes and playing style but never got around to it.
