Imo,
Suck it.

I have enough problems in life without needing to prove to you that I'm a person.

If you can't see my avatar, then that means you're a figment of your own imagination and you're not here!

I may be way off--

But if I recall correctly you changed your avatar around the time this thread was created? Is it related to your health? Diagnostic imaging?

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Wish you all the best bud

I've always used mobile ATS, my computer needs a serious overhaul so I'm mostly on my phone.

To be honest, half of ATS functions don't appear on mobile version and I wasn't even aware of the other things you could do.

So for me, it comes down to not knowing there were other options but the main reason I haven't added an avatar is, well, I'm picky, I don't have anything in my phone library I care to use as a representation of myself and can't think of any images to grab to use as filler.

Edit: Just checked, I don't have anything "safe" in my phone library. Can that prove I'm real?

No! The bulge with arrows pointing in that direction is an abdominal aneurysm. It represents uncertain and unexpected events in our lives that can take us from this existence at any time without any forewarning. We must be diligently ready to meet our maker for we know not when we will be called.

It's a ticking bomb just waiting to explode.

Does not having an avatar actually unnerve (lack of a better word) people?

I've always noticed people fist bumping avatars in threads occasionally, but on mobile version, I can't see avatars or signatures, so it never occurred to me.

Maybe I need to actually sit down and find an avatar.

This thread isn't about proving anything or authenticating users.

It's kinda like...

Why haven't you gotten your ATS tattoo yet? Does that make sense?

Edit: I'm not unnerved. I just wanted to give some members a platform to speak on a topic that I don't believe has ever been brought up.

As you mentioned, there is a lot of bro-fisting and clique-forming on this site as in all things in life. Well I'd like to hear from you guys without the avatars. I didn't even know it was related to mobile use for example.

Dammit! And my back up guess was sciatica so that was wrong too.

In a way I can get it, though I'm not really big on tattoos, mostly because I'm indecisive as a 10 year old picking an xbox or playstation for christmas.

Edit: That's also why I figured I would chime in about mobile/desktop versions. Since I didn't even know how to look at stats until last night when I switched to desktop.

Also don't think unnerve was the word I was looking for, just never occurred to me avatars might affect some types of interactions. Like maybe that's why sometimes theres a lack of responses to my posts.

But if you're not here and I am not here, where are we then? There? If we are there, isn't that our here? Do I type this out? Can you read that?

Those are 2 guesses that I actually do have. The aneurysm is something I suspect but don't really want to know. If I had the option of dying a quick death over a slowly progressive cancerous death, I'll take the aneurysm any day of the week.
