as the title says how do you deal with knowing you will die? its a question that haunts me everyday, if i die and nothing happens then nothing mattered , if i die and something happens then i failed, atleast i think i failed, i know when we die our brain releases dmt, which according to wiki is N,N-Dimethyltryptamine ('___' or N,N-'___') is a chemical substance that occurs in many plants and animals and which is both a derivative and a structural analog of tryptamine, its considered a psychedelic drug, is that all the end is? a high?

what do you think ats?

One day : that question won't haunt you any more.

One day : you'll be done.

Done means : done.

I'm not afraid to die because I already know a lot of things about what comes next. If '___' can make you high after you die and is strong as to last indefinitely after death with some acid like fantasy, then WOW! what strong thing it is. The real fantasy is when people think a substance like dMT can extend your mind beyond death in any coherent fashion. That is ludicrous.
I have seen the spirits of people who have died, felt them and been messed with by negative spirits so many times I lost count. The ones that are bad are now angry and stuck earthbound and cannot pass over. Obviously they haven't yet been judged or sent anywhere. I don't know the rules that govern the souls of the departed. I do know that Christ escorted my mother's spirit to sanctuary after she died because she told me in a psychic vision/dream. I have been given several messages from her in special dreams.

If you are having doubts now about your life then do something about it. What have you got to lose? If you think you might be judged or might not be forgiven for some things you have done then find a church and make some big decisions. Don't let your soul be lost because you have to fight hard to get out of this life and still be alive, (and be in a good place). (LOL) I know, sounds funny but if people only knew what I and many other's know you would change your heart right now.

The very purpose of fear is to avoid death in some form or another.
Is it a fear of non-existence ? losing the self.
Is it the pain and desperation while dying ?
Is it the fear of being face to face with that which knows our every thought and intention ?
Unshielded by the stories we tell our selves, that we act with out selfishness.

The terror or knowing you lived only for yourself, there was enough all along, to give.
Faith and Hope and selflessness, is bravery.
What other choice is there ?

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” ― Frank Herbert, Dune

All evidence points to no afterlife, no god, no celestial disneyland waiting for anyone. Death is rough. It's a brutal truth. As life can be full of them. But this is certainly the harshest of them.

I remember confronting this when I was 12 and watched my grandfather die (and for years to follow).

Best to soak up the beauty and cherish the fact that if not for some wild freak series of events, you would never have been. On the flipside it could have gone countless other ways and there would be no you. I'd at least rather that I was around this one time.

Self importance and arrogance can lead you to believe you are super special, part of a larger plan, and the thought of living forever will be temping. And hey, maybe you'll sleep easier knowing it. But I'd rather soak up this life now, based on denying ignorance (and arrogance), and enjoy it for all it's worth. My good deeds are not because I expect anything in return. No ridiculous binary reward system. Cause just like your pets and all the other living things, you'll be part of the earth again, but only in the crudest recycling-of-life kinda way.

Our life does not consist of only flesh, blood and bones...In fact our body is pretty insignificant in the matter of life and death...Our body is the outer shell that we live in...

Man consists of a body, a soul and a spirit...It is the spirit that gives our body the ability to function...

1Th_5:23  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

When we die our body falls to the ground, our spirit returns to God and our soul (consciousness) goes on to live forever...

Gen_2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Ecc_12:7  Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Many people don't believe that or don't even know that...I believe it...With all my heart...

Your soul which will go to either heaven or hell will live there forever...

And the height of arrogance is pretending you know something that you dont, like youre doing here. Thats more ironic than your anything.

Actually science is saying quite different, especially lately with all the LEGIT studies coming out.

Even basic science says energy never dies it just changes

Sorry to fk up your nihilism

Death is only an issue if you haven't lived.
Once that is done it's time to move on.

it's the interminable, undignified DYING that scares the crap right outta me.

It really was embarrassing,
lying on the cold, wet asphalt,
not able to move my head even,
couldn't hide my face
as the gawkers gawked.

Dying can be so frekin' embarrassing I thought
just before waking up.

So this old time surveyor for the telegraph company wanted me to smuggle a gun in so that he could end it all quicker. I thought about it for a while, how wonderfully self sacrificing it would be to go the rest of my life branded an accessory to wrongful death in order to spare a fellow man a couple of painful days !

Turns out I'm not that self sacrificing.

First thing about living is one day you'll die. And I'm okay with that. Just hope it won't be too soon. But if it is, I've lived the pretty busy life so far.

Oh look here, a man describing the very nature of every man who ever lived.
As it turns out not one of us is has been or ever will be. That's why Jesus.
No man could no man would.

Good lesson for you thru that man.

On the contrary concerning health. Chicken soup for the soul my
brother. Good for the spirit good for the mind. Good for the mind
is a good for the body. It's a good for da health. Nothing very complex
about it. It's the soup of love one might say. Certainly healthier than
mud. However mud not being entirely unnecessary shall we say. "What
are thoughts Hobsen"?

Can you tell I'm bored? lol

Being honest and realistic about it I'm quite looking forward to the thing they educate us to know as "death."

Having had many amazing experiences over the past half century both on the UFO side and also spirit side of things, of which they might be one and the same just trips on the timelines, then I'm looking forward to the next stage of existence

No 1 Ridding myself of the human body........ It creaks, needs maintenance, aches, lets you down, needs feeding and housing that going along with all the taxes / rents / expenditure that comes with it, tell the truth I'm looking forward to being free of it

No 2 All the people I lost to going onto the next level already through illness, old age, accidents, etc, if there's a chance to actually see those people again then wowzers I just can't wait

Once you obtain the answer to that in the form of Presence, not words of any religion, not gatherings or ways of any religion, then for you death is Transition instead of termination and the unknown. When you Ask to Know with greater urgency to the core of your being than it is to take another breath, Presence and the Way will be imparted to you. Wanting to know isn't even close enough to qualify. It only happens with 100%, pure surrender. No person, media, religion, art, music or anything can deliver the Presence. It's all on you.

You should do a follow up thread partner on how to
deal with the fact that we are going to die. Your
thread just reminded me. I have to get back to work.
I been slacking and haven't secured my plot at the cemetery.
I need to do that so I can take my wife's ashes with me
at the resurrection. I want to give them to my Father
in Heaven with hope.
