A man could get plenty fat off that line of thinking. There certainly is a LOT of meat there.

I also don't think its passive aggressive. I think its just aggressive.

Speak to someone who feels passionately about either of these subjects and within a few sentences you can start to see their political leanings coming out. People cannot help themselves.

As someone more in the middle----I only feel that I am achieving middle ground because I am upsetting or pissing off so many people. BUT in the end I will always fall more to the right in things.

It seems like this country didn't lose its middle class---we lost our middle ground. Anywhere. Everywhere.

So no officers made any sacrifices on 9/11, that's what you're going with?

No one got shot which is what the flag was about.

I think we may have been losing both.

All I can add is that I recently had the pleasure of working with a female police officer warrior lady and i want to have her babies, so yeah.... more blue lives matter.

Met sumo, Thank you for expressing your patriotic sentiment. I agree with you that free speech needs to be allowed on both sides of the political spectrum. The Marxists in our country want to force their opinions while forcefully suppressing all others which they do not approve of.
In fact they are calling people fascist while they themselves have become so.

You are wrong, that may have been the cause that led to its creation, however, per the creator it's about the sacrifices they make daily. From the person who created it, not an outsiders perspective.

It was a day, police officers made sacrifices that day, so therefor the flag is also a symbol for those officers.

I get that you say it's political and therefore not allowed per their standards, but the issue is the dems are currently politicizing institutions that are not supposed to be under the guise of social justice. The only way to combat that unfortunately is turning their logic against them.

I am not wrong, it is 100% the reason that flag was created and I supplied a quote. If he decides to change it later for political purposes that's his call, it still has jack s*** to do with 9/11.

Your quote is who's words though?

"Jacob said the flag was not a direct reaction to the first Black Lives Matter protests—an idea suggested by a previous origin story in Harper’s—but he allows he may have first seen the thin blue line image after those protests spurred the circulation of pro-police imagery
online. “That’s maybe why it came to my eyes,” he said."

harpers.org...

The cause that led to it's creation isn't the whole of what it symbolizes.

I don't think they should have been suspended, but I will say, for me, the various "takes" on the US flag for various groups is not something I like. Get your own damn flag and stop applying wrong color schemes to the US Flag.

Just my opinion, but I will say, the "blue line" flag seems disrespectful to me.

The " Thin Blue Line Flag " is making a political statement.

If they wanted to honour the police and fire fighters they should have used a regular U.S. flag.

Like a good socialist/communist would claim. Why don't you come out of the closet and just wear the Chinese communist flag?

What "middle ground" did we lose?... Just because democrats have gone off rail and into socialist/communist territory doesn't mean we lost our track... Only democrats/socialists/communists/anarchists have lost all notion of what the U.S. is and was always supposed to be.

'Maybe', sure. If I created something I wouldn't 'maybe' know why I did it.

In this case it is, now I think the guy who made it is just as cynical as those kids.

Good point. How many heads would explode if there was a BLM doctored up American flag?

I bet you look under your bed at night to see if there's a communist hiding there.

American's are a strange breed. Comical but entertaining.

He thinks thats where it came to his attention, not why he created it, big difference.

Aren't you actually being cynical by supplanting your perception of his motive as to what the flag represents to him?

He was a 14 year old kid when he established the brand so maybe he was being cynical at the time, but what is certain is your veing a hypocrit right now.

Opinion noted. I disagree.

I disagree as well. These are kids. They are respecting the police and firefighters and the school should have respected that and just told them that next time, use the real American flag.
