You can kneel for the anthem. You can play two anthems, one for the rest of us and one for black people. You can raise your fist in the black power salute. You can put the names of such wonderful people as St. George of Fentanyl and St. Jacob of Sexual Assault on your uniforms.

But how dare you honor police and fire fighters on 9/11!

For that you get suspended indefinitely ... even if your fathers are first responders ... even if you are carrying those flags in remembrance of 9/11.

Granted, they asked repeatedly to be able to carry the thin blue and red line flags on that one day - the 9/11 game, and they were repeatedly denied. So they did do it in an act of civil disobedience, but one has a policeman for a father and the other has a fireman for a father. The two simply wanted to honor first responders (and their parents; this is a personal issue for them) on 9/11 and nothing else, and I'm guessing that the thin red line flag was not the issue for anyone here. The reason for denial, of course, was that some would be uncomfortable with the flag in this divisive time.

However, I am minded that I guess some acts of speech are more acceptable than others it seems. They should have taken a knee and raised their fist in tribute to BLM and I'll bet no one would have taken any action against them.

Some are uncomfortable with the realization that police and firefighters ran back into burning buildings about to collapse without a second thought on 9/11? TOUGH! Maybe some people need to be reminded of that in these divisive times.

The " Thin Blue Line Flag " is making a political statement.

If they wanted to honour the police and fire fighters they should have used a regular U.S. flag.

Opinion noted. I disagree.

It's the new normal.

If you're for peace, law and order, then you will be punished.

Have they been put to death yet by the moronic, evil, leftists?

The thin blue line grew out of your own history - British soldiers in the Crimea.

Par for the course for anyone wanting to support law enforcement and anything the left hates, like the law. The more bLM gets away with their antics, the further we fall from normal and the more they become emboldened.

It was the " Thin Red Line " actually at The Battle Of Balaclava.

This comment is idiotic, and I can’t wait to watch members tear it to absolute shreds.

As idiotic as using a flag that didn't even exist at the time of 9/11

You're right.

Supporting law and order is now political since leftists no longer support it.

I know ....

If only the terrorists had coordinated with people who design flags so we could have had a nifty one all ready to go.

What the hell does that have to do with anything? Did democrat pet group bLM exist before civil rights? No, because back then it was democrat pet group KKK trying to stop anything that meant progression for blacks.

are you aware of what the thin blue line on the US flag represents? What about the thin red line? Do you know what they mean?

They must have realized they went a bit overboard in their reaction.

I can see discipline for breaking the refusal to allow, but indefinite suspension? That was terribly extreme for something that should not have been controversial - a 9/11 remembrance gesture by the kids of two first responders.

And, yeah, the thin blue line flag is uncomfortable for some, but so is kneeling for the anthem and the black power fist.

That was a point? All you said was that the flag didn't exist on 9/11 which has absolutely nothing to do with the OP.
