Why aren't they subpoenaing these people?!

If you recall from past hearings, civilians can legally ignore House/Senate subpoenas. DOJ subpoenas are binding on all Americans, however. That's why we need a status update on the Durham investigation. As Devin Nunes said last week, the Senate/House is very limited in their legal powers.

Care, thank you. I didn't know that. I think that rule should be changed. A subpoena is a subpoena, no matter who gets it. That's the way it should be.

So most of the high-profile cases didn't originate from the Amy Coney-Barrett SCOTUS nomination event at the White House?

If it was the Trump vs Biden debate environment, a Federal Investigation needs to be opened, ASAP. What agency is best equipped to do this?

Without DOJ ACTIONS, no-one is going to be "screwed". Getting fired, reprimanded, etc.. in connection with ObamaGate, makes you a hero in many sectors of corporate America...worthy of a huge salary/benefits package.

It's not who gets the subpoena, it's who issues it.

An entity needs statutory authorization to issue subpoenas. Congress can't just "issue" subpoenas willy nilly. IIRC a court held that Congress hadn't given itself statutory authorization to issue subpoenas (or was that just for the impeachment committee hearings?).

Anyhoo, a subpoena is not a subpoena no matter who gets it.
