If it was from Official US Agencies this person would have said paid, but by using the term they are pointing to a nonofficial group. I know there are many groups in the US that could have done this, but given the context above, wasn't there an individual that funds a lot of groups that are subversive that also has connections the person that wanted to drone strike Assange?
