If only 6% of the official 161,392 U.S. Covid-19 deaths are Covid19-ONLY deaths, it makes you wonder how large of a role, if any, Covid-19 played in the 94% (151,708) who died with multiple medical conditions.

i had a quick squizz at the statistical data on deaths in Australia for 2018 and over 165k died that year 67% were people over the age of 70. now that is terrible in itself but going by media reports or so it seems that we have no or few deaths here only covid deaths all over 70 yrs of age.
the southern states namely Victoria is suffering from the most death rates which has closed down much of that state.
last year the influenza a strain afflicted near 300k people with 6k of death related to the influenza a bug.
we didn't lock down then so i don't understand the math used to validate the extreme measures
nothing makes sense anymore.
but we could protest in the name of BLM which really is not a problem here.
our problem is Aboriginals deaths while in custody which needs to be addressed urgently
interesting to note our protests were very peaceful so I'm glad we haven't followed the US by destroying everything in sight but i fear we will soon follow suit.

This was a consolidation of debt. period.
money from a crashed economy does not simply vanish... it gets consolidated.

I'm afraid that large parts of the masses are deeply in denial, and do not want to understand that they have been lied to. To understand that their government has deceived them would blow their minds, so they keep kidding themselves.

I am a healthcare provider, and as such I have gone through multiple different phases of thinking about COVID-19 since it came to our attention last December.

At the start, we were losing 50% of all COVID patients that were admitted to the ICU at my hospital. It was VERY concerning. Our care is better now that we have learned a few things. We are admitting proportionally fewer patients with COVID to our ICU, and of those, now we are only losing 20%.

Also surprising: we have more patients sick in the community presently, but they are suffering less serious disease. I don't feel like this is worth keeping the country (countries?) locked down for, anymore. We are managing COVID well now, IMHO. It was nice to have a 'pause' earlier, but we have enough PPE stacked to move forward.

It isn't a 'hoax' per se, IMHO, but I do believe it is currently being exaggerated as a bigger threat than the reality we are witnessing, and that reality has changed.

Sure, it can kill you, it has long lasting effects on some people, and it is unpleasant for anyone who gets symptoms, regardless. I know more than 20 people who have had this by now. A few really got their *sses kicked, and some will probably never be the same as before, but none of the ones I know died (yet). Most of us will probably even get it more than once (different strains?). It isn't going away, probably ever. An anesthesiologist friend of mine quipped recently: "Consider it a permanent member of the pantheon of viruses we are apt to get from year to year from now on … forever".

But, COVID-19 can be mitigated at this point. Nutrition is perhaps most important, but the FDA and CDC are not talking about that! Also, the cheap drugs that help are being ignored in favor of the more expensive ones. The cheap drugs are the ones to take first, and if it works out, taking the cheaper drugs first can prevent progression to 'serious' stage disease for most people. Why is this knowledge being overlooked?

Perhaps greedy people have greedy motives, I am afraid.
