...I could do a Culture Club karaoke double shot. Now I don’t have the vocal range for it, but that makes it all the better, really...Just ask Zazz. Jack laughed the hardest though because he knew what I had started to sing from the opening lines. Only did half the first chorus though. And fortunately Johnny was either absent or caught off guard because I know he would have auto tuned it...or audio de-tuned Boy George to cover me.

Actually the idea behind it is a little bit of bling to encourage participation.

Way back in the old days, avatars, color backgrounds, member notations, etc had to be purchased with ATS points. Even more space in your inbox and even increased character count in your posts were connected to how much you participated and how well you followed the T&C. As post removals meant losing ATS points. They still mention it. Applause still gets you 500 points...but those points are no longer tracked.

Stars, Flags, post counts, and thread counts are still tracked and are used to determine WATS and Karma scores as well as Bronze, Silver and Gold Contribution levels. Although Bronze and Silver is less commonly seen than Gold.

Some even are listed as “Member or member“ depending on a few factors such as timeframe of join date. Even a few FSME tags out there that are not really used anymore either.

So what is it all? Fragments of the past, really. Fragments of the past.

It's not all bad .

When you get into a debate with a popular person. They will say something that's wrong yet get 10 or 20 stars from their groupies flinging their selves at them for approval .

Then when you prove them wrong you have just defeated 10 or 20 people in a debate .

Loverboy is one of those "we had a few good songs and were popular a little while, but now we peaced out with our money because we weren't serious musicians" kind of bands.
