Pritzker has not declined it. He has simply not requested it. States need to request the additional $300 a week for unemployment from FEMA. There is not enough money in the pot to go around to every state. Those that wait too long will probably miss out.

States need to match $100 in order to be eligible for the $300, I think.

All of the sudden, after 100 years, Illinois (and my state) are budget conscious, I'm guessing.

The executive order said $400 per week. The states could could contribute $100 of the $400 If they wanted to. There are no strings attached to 300 of the 400.

It's FEMA money. If there was a state disaster, you can bet the governors would grab a couple billion dollars in a heartbeat.
