I don't much pay attention to these type of horrors or medical condition (fact or fiction) so this was new to me. Aside from the twitter fluff there are some academia papers linking it to SRA.

I think another avenue that needs more research is how adrenochrome is metabolized in the body in relation to iron in the blood, and how this can have an effect on coloring around the eyes.

Though, I imagine it would have the same effect on both eyes, not just one. Probably a stretch, but their are studies out there related to adrenaline metabolism and it's effects on dark circles around the eyes.

There's so many idiots practicing law. The judge has zero say in whether the prosecutor drops a case. The judge's job is to enter the order so the case can be closed on the docket. that's it. The judge can't force a prosecution.

The prosecutor said it won't prosecute. If the case isn't dismissed, there's literally nothing left for anyone to do. The judge can't prosecute or sentence Flynn; even if the judge sentences Flynn to jail, the DOJ won't put him in jail.

And no, the judge *shouldn't* consider "the strongest evidence" because the DOJ has literally said it doesn't want to present *any* evidence.

It will sit as an "open" case on the judge's docket until the end of time.

Everyone's making me mad these days by being so stupid!

The only question is whether "leave of court" gives the court discretion to refuse a voluntary dismissal of a criminal case, or whether it's just functionary, that is, the court must enter a dismissal whenever sought. The latter makes perfect sense; the former, no:

Rule 48. Dismissal
(a) By the Government. The government may, with leave of court, dismiss an indictment, information, or complaint. The government may not dismiss the prosecution during trial without the defendant's consent.

And the only path they can take after giving an order is to move toward 100% compliance. It never goes in the other direction. There's never an "if you want to do it but you don't have to" clause.
