Yes there are different movies and shows as netflix pretends to know what kind of entertainment each country like and what not. I used to use vpn to watch US netflix like many others did too, sadly it doesn´t work anymore.

As for the bland guard.
There were just so many cliches, cringe, and naive moments. The dialogue was also simple. The music was terrible.
The antagonist had a cartoonish evil character, the worst bad guy i have seen on film since justice leagues Steppenwolf
Charlize Theron ain't great in it.

I enjoyed the film overall. But it was clearly trying to tick all the boxes.

That bad guy though. Jeezus. Not only cringeworthy (c'mon, bad guys don't need to be British Oxford chums!), but particularly poorly acted. This for me was it's biggest let down.

Sorry! I should have said use Adguard.

It's also a VPN, and not from the play store. You have to allow 'unknown 3rd parties' from the settings to install the APK file.

I've been using it for 2+ years and never had a problem, so sorry I forgot even used it lol
