I guess his music is alright. i mostly listen to metal and big band/swing era. Maybe some golden era country (waylon, johnny, etc). Just not a lot of room for modern rap music in my playlist.

Is US facing idiocracy..
It never cease to amaze me how it is possible that as big country like US is ,with all its states and amount of population it has, never seems to be succesful when it is about selecting head of states and POTUS. How it is possible there is no good canditates in the game.
What is the background and what is eduacation ? Would you really vote someone by the talent in music... no matter what is person really alike.. aggressive? drugs ?

Yes Kanye most likely would get votes and now BLM happenings .. he decites to be a candidate... Maybe only because of that.

It isn't the start of our problems, but its the start of the horror show we see today...but look up Smith Mundt. It was a law that kept the government from lying to the public (propaganda). It was repealed in 2008.

In the US you have about 20% of the folks are complete loons. 10% for each "side". Another 20% buy into the partisan nonsense. The remaining 60% are too busy living life, or don't have their heads in their asses. For the most part, America is full of regular folks who live compassionately. Don't let the amplified voices of the fringe give you any ideas about what we are.

Something you may not know...but Freeman was accused of having a sexual relationship with a grand daughter of his (step grand daughter, but still).

Even the ones we admire the most have their flaws.

I think it's brilliant on many levels! Kanye may very well get my vote.

Kanye has said he would run for president before. I'm more inclined to think this is Kanye's way of getting his name into serious consideration for future political works, and possibly a future presidential run with a real chance of winning. I wouldn't even be surprised if he wanted his wife to run as his VP. Both have far more going on politically than most people even realize.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kanye got a significant percentage of the vote even this year though (nothing even close to winning, but more than one might expect). Lots of unhappy voters out there. And would be voters. Joe would be the biggest loser though, rather than Trump. I'm more inclined to think Kanye would attract the dissatisfied liberal vote than the dissatisfied conservative vote. Those in the middle are probably fair game though.

This may get interesting!!!

Kanye as VP would be way more entertaining than Pence.

How about a Candace Owens / Kanye ticket in 2024?

Tucker Carlson/Candace Owens 2024!

Somewhere out there on the internet last night, after West's announcement - someone tweeted:

Our nation's political system has officially become a #ed up reality show

Our system simply allows anyone who wants to run to go ahead and run.

If people vote for him, hard to blame that on the "system."

I hope he really does run for president. This is how people are supposed to run for president; gain enough independent notoriety that you have somewhat of a hope to win and than slog it out with the rest of the people who did the same. The back room wheeling and dealing designed to keep the two major parties in power more than anything else is what has been dysfunctional for so long. Granted I'd hope it was someone less laugh able than West, but if he's the only one trying than good for him.

Where've you been the last ten years or so? This reality show's been going on for a while now and each season just gets more and more retarded.

Exactly. People whine all day about the two-party system, but then something like this happens and they keep complaining. He should take Robert Johnson's advice and form an independent black political party.

Kanye West tweets he's 'running for president of the United States,' references '2020 vision'

What a Great country, in which anyone can run for president.

Kanye is in cahoots with Trump. His 'candidacy' is a thinly veiled attempt to siphon-off the Black vote to weaken Biden's chances. Otherwise he'd be running for the RNC nomination. But running as an independent he can help his buddy Trump and hurt Biden.

Only in America, could someone so unqualified be serious about being in charge of one of the largest nations on earth, with his vapid wife to boot

Bring back the Monster Raving Loony Party, at least they did not try to be serious

it effectively exists to satirise British politics, and to offer itself as an alternative for protest voters
