Well that happened also in Albuquerque .The people demanded the Mayor and Governor of New Mexico to put the State of NM Police on patrol in Albuquerque. It worked for a while , crime went down for 2-3 weeks. over 1000 arrests in one week end . The state police did this twice then that was it; they were stretchered thin as it was across the state so the gov recalled them. The county police have been doing lots of patrols, but they too only have so many officers . As of right now it is just Albuquerque police officers again and crime is at an all time high . As you can see New Mexico has a very big problem keeping officers.

I tell people want find out how your city will fare with de-funding, and minimal police officers. just google Albuquerque Crime , search You Tube for Albuquerque police and crime . its a war zone here. people get car jacked in there driveways. you can look that up also. " Albuquerque teen car jacked in driveway at gun point". One thing I have noticed is there are a ton people going missing. kidnappings are high here now, it goes unsaid and unreported by the local media here. On Facebook families are looking for their kids and loved ones , asking for any information. There is an Albuquerque crime page on Facebook just for this.

As of Today the city counsel wants to de-fund the Albuquerque Police. they are one stupid bunch. we don't even have enough officers as it is . we just approved a 40 mil for then and they want take that away from the police. there is no military equipment buying , they have bought nothing in the last few year except they traded the old helicopter for a new one. that was because tax payers approved it , APD really needed it. the tax increases where approve by voters to hire police officers also , not anything else. Maybe we should just re-call the tax increase . some are actually think of doing just that on the ballot.

The city counsel wants unarmed social workers. lol good luck with that , I can't think of any person that would take a job like that in this high crime city , that is a death wish here. Almost every domestic call ends in some sort of violence here in Albuquerque. My best friend is cop he just retired , told me they are the most dangerous calls to respond too. things can go south very quick and usually do.

And we'll hammer Dems with this.

They either tell the truth that they support defunding and abolishing and lose the big chunk of same Americans

OR

They lie, hide their intentions or try to double speak away the meaning and they alienate the mostly nonvoting but loud/toxic regressives

Let it burn. I have my popcorn ready.

As Gutfield says, it's like a teenage smoking...you make them smoke the whole pack.

Well, there it is. If you live in the area I would recommend selling and getting the hell out of there.

Nobody would buy.

I suspect the whole thing might just be a big real estate scam.

I hope they do it today and by November the crime rates is up by 400% .

Make it so bad that they get egg on their face and beg the National Guard to come in and restore order .

It ain’t going to happen but one can dream .

That might be the strategy. Create a situation so bad the people agree to abandon posse comitatus.

Eventually they can arrive at the system they have in Mexico.

The police exist but they are paid so little that they mostly subsist off of "tips".

From the Police union president Willoughby in response to the Mayor of Albuquerque ,

Willoughby also questions how the new department will be funded.

“This program is going to have to be pretty robust for it to actually carry the burden of what's going on with the Albuquerque Police Department. We’re understaffed. We don't have enough police officers. We don't have enough detectives. We can barely stay above water responding to priority one and crime calls,” he said.

So, True. yesterday there was shooting at a protest of a statue. police arrived 30- 40 minutes later. The New Mexico Civil Guard which are armed saved the shooter from being killed by surrounding him. The shooter was not part of the militia, but was a former city counsel candidate last year. someone in the crow hit the accused shooter with a skateboard in the head and attacked him, then he ran for his life fell , then his attacker was hitting him so he pulled out his conceald weapon and shot the protester 4 time in the main body. CNN is reporting the militia shot the protester. not true. they saved him . and he defended himself. The media is giving a different narrative.

Statue Protest shooting

APD know the real story and its on there twitter page. yeah PD has a twitter page.
