There will still be cops in Minneapolis you know? This is a restructuring. Wiping out what is and rebuilding. The cops aren't being wiped out.

In reality, the police abolition movement will result in the police being replaced with other agents of order. Camden, NJ did experiment with this idea by getting rid of their entire police force and switching to the county police force, who then hired most of those same officers at a lower rate. Many brand new officers were also hired by the county to patrol Camden without the training, experience, or knowledge of the community that the former police force had. In a city that is 95 percent minority, Camden went from a 2/3 minority department to an agency that is made up of only 43 percent minority officers. A larger, less diverse police presence is probably not what the police abolitionists of today have in mind.

So they fired the police department, rehired them all under County and then added a lot of new officers with no training so essentially made a larger less diverse police force?

Well what's done is done. No more police.
So for career officers that planned on being there for 20, 25.. 30 years. Will they get their pensions?

Will they now install cameras on every street corner, make citizens wear a camera at all times? How will they solve a He said She said issue?

Will the banks leave the area?

Will stores be safe from looting?

Will Nike send their products to enhance looting?

Is the District Attorney out of the Job since they work with the police?

If a citizens arrest is made, who takes the perp to jail?

Will there be a jail?

Will it be considered and act of kidnapping if people detain someone, perhaps someone they feel they don't like? And throw them in a vehicle and drive away?

Who gets the guns?

Will there be guns?

Will it be legal to marry your brother or sister in a foreign country, then move to United States become a senator?

They have their own private security, whom are armed and will kill criminals. So liberals/democrats/socialists like Pelosi, Schiff, Jenny Durkan, Biden, Hillary, etc will not suffer the consequences of "abolishing the police..."
