Not at all accurate.

Both the left and right extrem of the spectrum have grown their base out of what was once the larger moderate side of their ideologies.

Centrist are seen as "left" only if the observer is on the right. However if the observer is on the left they see centrist as being "right".

The US has shifted to being more extream left and right and the people in these groups have shifted to be less tolerant of others who do not share their ideologies.

As a centrist myself I have been dismissed as both a "flaming liberal" and "right wing wing nut" depending on who I am talking to.

The censorship is intentional and being done by the Gov larping as private entities, built with stolen tax dollars.
Not sure what to do about it other than not use the fake companies.

I love the "apparent control" so I guess the 90% liberal control is just "apparent". It seems you need to be like 98% to assume total control...

i do not go on fbb anymore, and im going to sneak on there in the middle of the night and delete every post, every pic i posted, and every fan page i am part of.

my progresssive friends have been emboldend by the media, with disastrous effects.

when i mentioned how the newz creates depression amongst people, they told me, 'so, im still going to post...' and everyone calls me a republikan, even tho i am not.

This is setting a dangerous precedent.

I was hopeful that we would elect a decent president in 2020, however the DNC choose a lame duck. 4 more years of Trump will be devasting to the Constitution.

Funny how Republicans cry about voter fraud, when its Republican who usually commit it, they cry about free speech but want to censor 'leftist' views, the say liberals want to take away liverty yet again it is consevatives who approve of authoritarian rules....

In reality, its the right who are centrists & the left which are extreme radicals. During JFK's time Trump would be considerd far left. If JFK were alive today JFK would be considered far right. Leftists today don't believe in liberty or our constitution. All Democrat politicians today routinely violate their oaths of office with their repeated treasonous actions: restricting one's right to free speech, restricitng one's right to assemble, restricting ones right to travel, restricting one's right to practice their religion, placing restrictions/bans/regulations on guns, calls to end the electoral college, promoting of abortion (denying an individual's right to life) & denying one's right to due-process. These are all acts of treason which Democrats fully support & Republicans are against. True liberty (freedom) loving liberals & conservatives are now known as Republicans. Democrats are all anti-American leftists.

Party bots have now been thrown into the equation to try and influence politics and to create a political divide, as well as push bad agendas that remove rights.

I am not in this field at all, so have no idea about the background workings....but, one company does appear to run close, if not across, the antitrust laws.

I want to be very clear that appearances mean very little. A look at the books in the background would absolutely be required for me to know if it is running across antitrust. It simple appears to do so.

They can censor whatever they want. They should keep that right but the bar of free speech has moved. Two lanes. One for their own thought control lane, and another without it. People forget the internet was bought and paid for by American taxpayers. We paid for the development and all the open source code they grabbed free of charge.

US taxpayers created the fvcking internet. I know this is hard for the world to accept just like every other damn invention paid for on our backs but that is reality. Companies took stuff we paid for and created with it which was the intent. That creation now however is trampling on free speech. It's not acceptable and is an effrontery to the whole process. We pay for the general stuff. They can have it for free to do whatever with. Just not bottleneck free speech. It's absolutely wrong on every level. They did not create the internet. Only the cars on it. Still have to obey the road signs.

Only "Dear Leader" is allowed free speech, everyone else needs to shut up and except he speaks for you all because he's a stable genius and knows all.

There are no specifics and all I see are people jumping to conclusions and jumping off the bridge with the rest of the herd.

If I had to guess, it may have something to do with, "Section 230", maybe nerfing the amendment in a way that best reflects its value and protections, but not so much that Social Media companies can operate under it with smug invincibility in regards to its blatant censorship.

I find it rather funny that some are screeching censorship on Trumps part and others remarking censorship cannot combat censorship, just remember people, CENSORHIP IS ALREADY HAPPENINGA, via, Liberal media platforms 😏 literally as we speak, RIGHT NOW 🤭

Censorship usually refers to government control of media.

The public companies that own the media allegedly have control over the way they do business, or at least, that's the way it is until some don't like the decisions those companies make.

Google, Facebook, Youtube, etc. should not be regulated by the government.
