Or as happens with just about any developing event ever in any facet of life, industry or entertainment the scenario in question continues to play out , more information is learned and what was once thought true based on info at the time is revised.

Apply that opening sequence to Politicians, clinicians and the media.

Nah you are right, it's the man sticking it to the Woke Minds again.

Just like when a shooting takes place and CT's hyper focus on the first reports of details as being the only valid piece of info regardless of if the shooting is still taking place.

You are looking at it from face value.

Yes it is frustrating, yes we are all a little peeved at what has happened. But the measures taken were because of last resort precautions, if we all just listened to the WHO back in late December, we all took heed to what some nations were doing we would not need to resort to 'flattening' the curve.
The whole point of flattening the curve isn't to kill off the virus of 'beat it', it's to relieve strain on the health care systems, if herd immunity were the only way to go about it, then it would spread like wild fire and become uncontrollable, and a snowball effect will ensue. This will be a lesson for all of us, including China, and the WHO.

All good points. I am not going to be an apologist for GROSS Chinese Government incompetence. "The Emperors New Clothes" at an elevated level. The "Aggressor Evil Intent Potentate" of a restricted/confined/world cannot regulate a self inflicted case of massive disease within in own borders and lie about it to the free world. Responsible economic world players that can be trusted?

I think it's more to do with the Chinese government and their, sort of, due-diligence to the WHO. And the WHO relying on the Chinese government to tell the truth.
The real kicker here is that China, or any sort of authoritarian regime or government is going to get a real kick in the ass after this; they can no longer attempt to hide what used to be easily controlled. You can thank the internet for that.

Medical evidence is slowly showing that China didn't 'create' this virus, but they continue to hide details. Why tho?
