I am 59 years old and do not want to have to find a new job now. I have been working at the same place for 38 years now.

This is sooooo sad, heart-wrenching in fact. Best of luck to you.

If you’re not comfortable getting the vaccine you shouldn’t have to, but do take into account how your experience was with the virus. Talk to a doctor and see if you can get a medical exemption. They could also point you into the direction of an alternative to the mRNA vaccine.

Best of luck, don’t like seeing people put in this position. It’s morally wrong. I’m forced to get it at work too but I also signed a military contract with the Guard and work with infectious diseases, animals, and COVID cadavers for my civilian job. So I don’t count with being forced lol I chose it.

WTF is up with that? I have had COVID and I wish I wasn't being forced to take the vaccine, but I am. I am 59 years old and do not want to have to find a new job now. I have been working at the same place for 38 years now.
There was a link posted in this thread a while back about a law professor who was being mandated to take the vaccine. Like you, he already had COVID, and got tests to show he still had antibodies. He used those test results to file a lawsuit to get exempt from taking the vaccine. I don't remember how far back the post was, but I think this is the same article:

Law professor sues George Mason University, challenging covid vaccine mandate

Zywicki said in an interview that he would have gotten vaccinated if he had not already contracted, and recovered from, covid-19. He said he was advised by his immunologist that he has strong natural immunity to the virus now, confirmed by positive antibody tests, and that a vaccine is medically unnecessary.

Zywicki said the university should treat him like someone who has been vaccinated.

Interesting and very well balanced article. We need more like her because she handles both sides very well and understands that we need to be cautious. Pretty cool for a pioneer in genetic vaccines.

Interesting points:

mRNA vaccines may lose potency with each administration of the same vaccine due to cells and TLR or other pathogen recognition receptors and the cell learning to recognize and how to best get rid of it.

Overstimulation of TLRs (they recognize foreign material) if we don’t construct the mRNA appropriately, leading to activation of type 1 IFN pathways (primary antiviral pathway in cells). This is similar to the ideas we had earlier since they all feed one another. This also makes it more likely the alternative pathway of complement is compromised since that can be signal dependent and does not need to bind a pathogen via Factor B. It will switch to Factor P.

Possible incorporation of mRNA vaccines into the host cell genomes through latent retrovirus infection, retroid virus infection that use RT and IN, and you can’t not include LINE or other transposable elements that do this every day in our cells.

Potential unintended self amplifying component if we did not prepare the DNA or RNA correctly, improperly balancing degradation with expression.

APCs (antigen presenting cells) actively eating this stuff up and moving it to lymph nodes throughout the body. This means that unintended inflammatory signals or movement could occur. The antigen component, it’s inactivated but still inflammatory as it moves and the signals are released by the cells.

The liver struck me as well. Liver damage or heightened expression of mediators that indicate potential inflammation. For those that don’t know the liver makes immune proteins that act as precursors to inflammatory signaling. It also works with the spleen to remove these tagged pathogens and immune cells or other cells for disposal. Like a filter. It means our target works but we are potentially causing too much inflammation and damage as an unintended side effect. If you nuke the liver via infection, hepatitis, or alcoholism, you produce less precursors and this would adversely impact encapsulated bacterial clearance, viral and other pathogen clearance, and could lead to other inflammatory conditions.

Most of the stuff she says is good and for these vaccines it looks like she is asking us to proceed with caution as we fine tune them for the intended target and function.

But look at the side effects of all the clinical trials, look familiar?

I got the Pfizer jab at 5 pm this evening. Hated that I was coerced into getting it.

Have a nice day now

Here's my update
A very close friend of mine is fully vaxxed since Jan - Feb 2021, he
was a first responder as a volunteer ambulance driver, late 60's
& in great health. He was an avid hockey player & stopped playing
2 yrs ago.
By mid March he started having lower back pain, within ~4 more weeks
neuropathy in both legs & feet. Has had many MRI's & test & the Drs
don't know what's wrong with him. He has progressively gotten extremely
worse in a short period of time. He cannot walk, been using a walker &
scooting his feet with assistance, it's been moving up thru his body & he
can no longer dress himself.
His symptoms fit GBS & ALS...I think it's possibly GBS which you think you have
lower back issues & then the neuropathy in both legs & feet & it moves on up to
arms, hands & etc. GBS also moves quickly like that...
He's been trying to get appts at Duke, John Hopkins & NIH for months.
Now he's going to another country to seek help & if nothing he may
ask for a peaceful assistance...

I got a message last night a very close family friend, brother fully vaxxed age in 50's,
Type 1 Diabetic not over wt & he died on the way to the hospital yesterday. He had
been helping out his cousin who contracted covid at school.

My 2 friends who live across from me both fully vaxxed are still in quarentine got covid
~ a wk ago & their daughter had been in labor for 3 days this past weekend, not sure of
the latest stats.
I will NOT take the jab! It could possibly kill me. I am following the FLCCC protocols.
I still do curbside groceries & wipe them down as I DO NOT trust those flip flopping idiots.

Cheers

Here's my update. I had no reaction whatsoever to either of my shots.

Among all those I know who have been vaccinated (and we discuss it) the worst reaction was missing half a day of work because she felt a little tired the morning after.

Someone in my office (vaccinated) had a positive test last week. Slight fever.

Pfizer?

I’ve known nobody that has had a reaction or a permanent impact rather. No one in my family, that I’ve asked, probably 20 or so immediate family that I recommended the vaccine to and they haven’t heard of anyone.

Military wise, none of the medics I know have seen any reaction or problems, this includes PAs and MDs. We’ve seen bigger issues with the seasonal flu vaccine and we saw issues with the swine flu vaccine. I had to get that stupid one twice because they lost my paperwork.

Work is the same, none of the doctors we work with have seen anything. Although my lab primarily works with nuclear cardiology, radiology, and pulmonology. We also have a ton of cardiologists. Nothing regarding negative impacts of the vaccine.

No one has felt sick from viral vector vaccines. Mild mild symptoms from second dose of Pfizer. Moderna second dose is knocking everyone on their butts, usually worse as age decreases.

I know more people that died from COVID then had a bad vaccine reaction. The stories are out there though, which does make me curious.

Keep us updated, curious about inflammatory response since if I remember right, your exposure was fairly recent. If it’s causing you to feel pretty sick again, maybe we do need to fine tune our mRNA vector.

I have no swelling, even at the injection site. I do have a lot of pain in my shoulder and I have had a bad headache that started about 5 hours after the injection.
I was infected with COVID in early April 2021 and was out of quarantine in early May. I was treated with convalescent plasma.
ETA: I do not have a fever.

May I first offer full Prayerful thoughts to your goodself plus Family members of a sorrowful Friend's loss.

Secondly , and without trying to been seen as a Clever dick outsider, Mai I ask please a question or tow ref your ex Ambulance driver friend;
1. Without interfering in any way, could I ask your 'over 60s' age be more precise ?
2. Is your friend on any possible medicines for some other medical problem ?

Allow me to at least explain why I have asked such. I personally have been Happily Married to a wonderful Female since 1964. Throughout the years my lovely Wife has been classified and medicated as being (a) Asthmatic . (b) suffering Tachycardia, (c) Pituarity Tumour Removed. Also ABLATION was attempted to halt the Tachycardia, but failed. Difficult to cut a divisive line in Hart tissue while such is stick working. So that problem was solved by prescribed medication. As time passed, we both aged (Grrrr), and it became right for not only Wife to receive annual Flu jab, but for me to receive thae same, as a dual protectant.
Having said all that, both Wife and I received 2 jabs against said Covid 19. By the way I / we have Neicies and Nephew who are long term qualified Nurses with Nephew Nephew working in X-ray quarters etc. Well several month's after being Injected with vax 2 of ASTRA ZENECA vaccine (DNA) I alone noticed Pain that ran Horizontal from verterbrae to tip of Left Hip Bone. It was very painful and started to slow down ability to Walk. Mild pain felt in area above L Kidney. OEDMA cropped up on Left foot and Thigh muscles - both legs - slowley became weak. Following chat with G.P. Back pain was agreed to - perhaps - be a pulled muscle. Painkiller drugs were prescribed and Time became a partial friend. To abbreviate what I am saying, pain did ease up across Back but walking seems to be suggesting more exercise. - that is my opinion, would like to hear about friends possible chances of being - maybe - on some other medication. Lot more to explain, but doing my best to save precious space etc.

PS Wish you and all your end of the line "Full Best Wishes".
Cheers

Yesterday I progressed to pains through my entire body, my skin was burning, I developed a fever of 100 degrees F and chills. The fever broke about 3 am and I sweated profusely.
This morning I am tired and have the body aches along with the headache.

Not sure what you mean. These two groups were in it deep and in a very bad way. Both treatments kind of helped, ivermectin helped more, some of them it was too late or they were compromised. Plus a decent amount had genetic issues with ivermectin.

Does anyone remember seeing interviews with ICU doctors last year, after the first big surges of hospitalizations (deaths, etc) had ended, where they stated that of everything they had 'learned' in treating Covid-19 patients -

- that 'putting patients on ventilators was the worst thing you could do...practically a death sentence'....?

I just keep feeling surprised that ventilators are being so widely used now, because I could swear I read articles last year where doctors said the above...

Thanks all - bonus points to anyone who has a link to a 2020 article that affirms my memory
