I haven't seen the show yet. Maybe they went to Travis because he is an Astrophysicist. Have seen him on programs on the Science Channel too.

Sorry...that's not how the Feds work. If there were ever any questions about what is occurring on the property...be it from a national security or criminal perspective...they would go to the owner. Legally they have to....

Well in the episode where the Llamas got attacked they did get a video of one of the creatures. It looked like some kind of cat, but the people that saw it in person claimed it was a dog like creature. So that was something.

It looked to me like William, the Ranch Dog....

ETA - I did a quick Google search to see if any viewer had captured frame shots of the video which shows the attack on the alpacas. First of all, I think it is pretty suspicious that Skinwalker Ranch didn't do this on their own....especially if they claim it was some supernatural creature. You'd think they'd post frame shots of the video that seems to capture this alleged attack? But alas...no bones. However, I do suggest you compare the video (if you can find it) to the photos of the dog. Compare the size of the dog in the picture above with the actual attack video. Very similar...almost uncannily so.

Just finishing up the season finale and I'm going to set the dvr to not record this any more. It's just too stupid. It can't be taken seriously. If the Fed's were inquiring about what's going on there why did they not contact the guy who owns the place? But no, they went to Travis?

That's just one thing and I won't go on but I'm done with this one.

I ended up half-@$$ watching it because I had watched the show that was on before it and didn't feel like setting my work aside to go find the remote. It all seemed pretty ridiculous with no substantiation on a real scientific level. To be fair, I only paid attention to maybe 10% of the actual finale. The rest of the time, I was focused on my work...but seemed like more of the same BS we've seen all season.

I will not watch it anymore because it defies even basic, reasonable logic and critical thinking....and none of the characters are even halfway likable.

You were watching Dark Side of the Ring, eh? Isn't that what I saw was on before it? Much better show than Skinwalker, for sure.

About how I feel.

Dark Side of the Ring sounds far more interesting than what I was watching.... No, History Channel was playing Lost Gold of WW2.... I believe in that search being real far more than whatever might be on Oak Island although the characters aren't as fun as the Laginas....

The fact that Brandon Fugal is an executive producer of the show is very telling...

I've seen better suburban exploration videos on YouTube. It's a miracle they can find anything with all the production crew making a mess on the site and interfering with actual investigation technique.

Joining the thread a bit late, but....... no, I just cant get away with the drama build up for ratings...... oak island and lost gold are pretty much the same but at least the frontmen of those programs are watchable.

I cant for the life of me, take, to the skinwalker series, we're seeing too much of this type of programming and its tiresome...... you get maybe 17 mins of new material and the rest is rehashed catch up moments. The topic is fine it's what they do with it that ruins it for me.

I agree it's a strange place but to do a show about it now seems pointless. Nothing earth shattering will be revealed and to be fair it's been done to death, in a better way, previously.

I actually enjoyed Corbells documentary and think there should be more like that, regarding skinwalker at least.

The Lazar documentary was a farce, but the heavily trailed (on ATS itself coz Springer was a campfire star) Skinwalker yarn was okay, albeit far too long and comprising zero fresh evidence that was compelling (except for the infamous 'materialising twin towers' footage that's still not discussed in depth, and is as dodgy as a three-dollar note).

Corbell's films are strange art-house exercises with Corbell invariably the centre of his own attention through great swathes of them. By his own words, he's supposed to be "weaponising our curiosity" - not weaponising an ego.

The last one wasn't too bad. Unless they doctored some of the show then they may have had some strange to paranormal phenomena.

But was that guy the AG of Utah? Attorney general?

The state's science advisor maybe, but the AG is odd showing up. What’s he going to do, indict a ghost?

And the physicist and the owner saying they were under surveillance by the IC is redundant and or ridiculous since, sure, they're under surveillance, they're on national TV surveilled by millions.

The Bob Lazar documentary seemed very convenient, I suppose that had to come before the skinwalker effort as they all loosely tie together over that period in ufology.

I'm still unsure about Corbell, I have enjoyed some things hes done but also thought hes just trying to jump on the bandwagon, rehashing old news with modern investigation.

I'd like to see more about skinwalker, just not in the style this show puts it out..... it's too annoying.

After binge streaming this series....I will say, I agree with the consensus so far on this thread. I had high hopes when viewing the trailer ....it gets a tomato and a half.

What I find hilarious was that in the very first episode about 08.49 time stamp +/- there was an event of a lighted object with a downward trajectory and no one mentions it.

The scene is Mr. Big Shot giving the Astrophysicist the introductory rundown. And so on It goes and on the screen the glowing Mesa vidclip is shown. Astrophysicist blah blah .. then Mr. (B)ig (S)hot says words to the effect.....compact light pillars blah blah on the screen is a column of light then Astrophysicist says...something like ..sure it’s not a car dealership?

WHAT! Now hold on there....go back to the vidclip portion of the compact pillar of light....does no one in that conference room see a lighted object a little behind the top portion of the pillar descending? There right there is something odd....how did they not be able to pick up on that?

Below is a gif clip I made up of 6 frames.....it’s actually much better fluid of travel if you look at the actual full 30 frames/sec from the actual episode....see for yourself.

Yeaaaah ... I don’t think they know an oddity when it’s in their face. If it was a snake, it would have bit them.

I just found the series on Netflix and watched the first episode. Couple of things

1. “Skinwalker” is a Navajo term, not Ute. They were enemies. So why would there be talk of skinwalkers in the Uinta range? Utan languages and culture are very different from Navajo, an Athabaskan language and ethnic group that emigrated down from Canada post-columbus?

2. When I saw the “don’t dig!” Segment, I immediately began to suspect that the lawyer-owner hadn’t bothered to purchase mineral rights.

3. Next I figure he bought the ranch to see if there was frackable oil shales present. There is fracking on surrounding ranches. But none on skin-walker ranch. Legally, if he prospected for oil, and didn’t find any, he’d have to tell potential buyers.

I figure he’s determined there’s no oil, and he’s trying to generate interest with ufos and the “possibility” of oil....

Oh Ok, I see it didn't.
I viewed this topic when it was first posted. I tried to reply to a few of the negative posters but was having a sign-in problem. Hence, 3 years later, I returned to see what comments the show Skinwalker Ranch had provoked from some of the posters, in view of the many interesting discoveries made on the ranch.

Well, I see they went dark. Ok.

BTW, the show, "The Secrets Of Skinwalker Ranch" is Excellent television!

Choreographed drone video to provide mystery.
Diffuse light from lens flare or cloud reflection - must be something big up there - yeah, right its lens flare or cloud reflection.
1.6 GHz - Secure military communications frequency, which can be transmitted up to 150 miles - military helicopters seen.
On site physicist devises crude experiments that a high school student could come up with and is just there for the money.
Digging into the side of the mesa and hitting rock too hard to drill through - Oh, the drama
Ground penetrating radar discovering more big rocks - OMG its a dome, LMAO
Higher than normal radiation spikes - The area, as a previous poster stated, is close to a nuke testing site.
Strange lights in the sky and disappearing - Aircraft turning its lights off.
And many more.

The show is scripted and entertaining, sometimes I tune in when there is nothing else to watch.

Good examples. When they pretend to be clueless, everything is a mystery!
