The media routinely states "tank" for self propelled artillery (as in the photo), armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, etc. Rail
cars, trucks, and cars all use wheels to roll on, but are understood to be different kinds of vehicles.

I served in the US army for 4 years spent the entire time in and around the M1 Abrams Tank.
Now that is a tank but not the pics here .

Its an ISO standard sign for a heavy/out sized vehicle that t is literally used all over the world. No its not Chinese, nor is it Australian specific.
