There is a youtube video that shows a train of tanks rolling though LA.
www.youtube.com...

At about 2:26, there is a group of M109 Paladin tanks and there is one that has this insignia.

A buddy of mine says that this is a Chinese insignia.
I don't know, but if someone can prove that is isn't, then I'll drop the rest of the conversation
that I had with him.

Having spent more time in Fort Irwin outside of L.A. than I ever care to admit, an absolutely insane amount of tanks, trucks, hummers, fuelers, forklifts....anything you can think of the army using goes into and out of that base on a weekly basis. It is cheaper to rail transport your brigade's equipment via rail to training and back than it is to do it any other way. The same thing happens with Fort Polk in Louisiana.

Anyway, there is a lot of crazy opposing forces stuff that also comes in and out too, you know, for training. They blow up a lot of stuff out there. Usually painted to mimic the real thing. And it has been a while so for all I know whatever unit is heading in or out of there is training with actual Chinese troops for some reason. A lot of foreign troops came in and out of the two major training bases (and all the others) to deploy with whatever American units were due oversees at that time.

The moving pieces of the US armed forces just within the U.S. are mind-boggling but usually fly under the radar of anyone not in one of the services.

Not only does are military, but several in the world have this self propelled howitzer.
But it's the red and yellow insignia that I need to know about. I'm not sure if it's a US Marine Corp or Chinese Marine insignia. But I need proof.

Red signifies artillery - fits (IT IS a Paladin after all)
Yellow signifies attachment to one of the Cav groups. - fits
Nuthin devious whatsoever.
And definitely not Chinese.
Done.
Next.
End.

It is not an "insignia"
It is the purpose.
Check my previous post.

Yes, that's it!

So it's Australian.
I don't think the Chinese would use an Australian Heavy Vehicle sign. Would they?
