You don't know it's not valid information.

No, I 100% know it's not valid.

Your jumping to conclusions about new information is almost as dangerous as "bull# fearmongering to rile people up".

If you want to be a gullible dupe and believe some guy posting on the internet that claims he has a friend of a friend that just got out of a meeting with the President of the United States who is allegedly implementing martial law at 3PM today that's your problem.

I'm not trying to stir people up.

Yes you are.

Most likely this is simply about a national curfew.

So your 'friend of a friend' is wrong and it's not martial law but you decided to post that anyway? See above comment.

How in the world can they shut down state to state travel?

I live in Missouri and work in Kansas. A state to state shutdown would really suck. I can technically telework if needed...but their are a lot of people that will not have that option.

Strange how this gets posted with a very inside source claimed and suddenly twitter is also trending with martial law tags.

Of course, it’s “Marshall law” on twitter but still.

ETA - wait, my bad. RT was talking about this hours ago. Details in the article differ from the OP a bit, but some resemblance.

Yeah, that's the law where you have to shop only at Marshall's. I heard it from my uncle's friend's sister's husband who stood outside the White House earlier.

I just don’t wanna deal with MPs. Those guys are jerks, even by real cops’ standards.

I'm gonna dress up as my neighbor and sneak out, this way when they catch me they'll arrest him instead.

That is the most Hawkeye Pierce thing I've ever read. Except for one Alan Alda interview.

48 hours. Not at 3 today. For someone with such conviction, you sure tend to miss details pretty easily.

48 hours, like the article says people have been getting texts about?

Sounds about right.

This is a lot like that other thread only it was the dudes mothers boyfriend who got the heads up.

We will see a lot of this kind of nonsense over the next few weeks.

Fear living and fear spreading. Worse than the virus.

Denver has just announced 8 weeks of closure for bars and restaurants. Still waiting to hear more... funny how they keep saying that things will change in 2 days. This is exactly how I was told it's gonna go down. Bring it on at a state level and to soften the eventual blow that comes on Wedensday.

I did also see this notion mentioned on ZeroHedge this a.m. as well. Only rumblings I'm Ihearing of is domestic air traffic limitations from hard hit states.

As far as enforcing some kind of full scale martial law, I dont see how even checkpoints on interstates would be effective at all, let alone deployed guard..

There are folks from various fed agencies who are authorized full telework, but without access to SIPRnet or JWICS it's basically checking outlook and reading the news...

As a Contracting Officer this whole situation, martial law or not is proving to be a ridiculous nightmare in terms of contract mods...
