You don't know it's not valid information. Your jumping to conclusions about new information is almost as dangerous as "bull# fearmongering to rile people up".

What possible purpose would that have? Recommending that we all self-quarantine to help slow down the spread is one thing, I think you'd see a major uprising if it led to country-wide curfews.

State governments are already ordering retail stores and restaurants, etc., to close at 8pm. A national curfew appears to be coming.

Yeah, if state governors weren't already demanding closures of businesses / schools / etc then I'd think the rumor is BS. IL closed all restaurants / bars. Schools are closed. It isn't a far step to just full on shut down.

I'm starting to think they've been holding back on how serious this is... it makes no sense to be doing all this for flu like death numbers.

There is far more to this story than is being told to the public imho.

None of the government actions and make any sense with the narrative / data that has been told to us.

Possible yes, doubtful though 9 million sq kilometers of land in the USA, we could deploy every single active, guard and reservist, mobilize every cop in the nation and we still couldn't enforce it.

Payroll. Most people do not understand that this is going to be a HUGE problem. I work for a very large onsite HRIS provider and our clients are losing their minds because they do not know how to process the payroll for their companies because they cannot lay everyone off and needs skeleton crews. You name it I have a client in a specific industry.

The trickle down is affecting A LOT of people who many people do not realize.

If he is a CPA firm and he processes payroll he may want to start reaching out or asking clients if they will need their payroll and taxes filed. We have over 2000 clients who starting in 2 weeks are going to be looking for help.

I'm not trying to stir people up. Most likely this is simply about a national curfew.

Look, if you know me, you know that it's not like me to come on here with Doom Porn. I trust my source is telling the truth and I can only imagine that a family member would send out a warning such as this if he/she didn't actually believe it.

So, yeah, take it for what it's worth. His storyline adds up based on what's unfolding today.

thanks for shareing
it is appreciated

Our governor is making all retail food places shut down inside seating at 3pm today. Bars, restaurants, etc. and they are to offer carryout or drive-through only.

I understand wanting to slow down the infection rate, but the damage being done to the economy is going to make 2009 look like a cake-walk.

The "rumor" at my wife's state job is they might be working from home by Wednesday, and I heard a similar, albeit third hand, rumor very similar to OP from similarly trustworthy sources. Still smells hoaxy, but after reading the various matching 'leaks' here it's unsettling to me, to say the least.

Michigan just tacked on additional public places in order to close at 3pm.

On top of bars, restaurants, now coffee shops etc. Still watching for banks though.

The mechanisms for this aren't difficult. As others have already rightly pointed out, things are incrementally closing or limiting hours already. Schools close, restaurants and bars close, retail and grocery stores limit hours and cease any 24 hour operations, anyone who can telework is instructed to do so, non-essential employees are asked to stay home or laid off from businesses that require on site staff for infrastructure support ( trucking, stocking shelves, etc ).

All of these things have happened already. Some nationally, others in local pockets. Anticipate that it will all become national soon.

With those steps in place traffic is naturally thinned. The roads and social spaces are more contained and funneled and far more easily controlled and monitored.

Long story short - if you live in the country or the burbs and curfews are instated? You could probably get away with sneaking around back roads if you chose. But jump on a main road or freeway and you'll immediately stand out as traffic will be nearly non-existent.

This is how they'll monitor and block interstate travel if it comes to that. They won't need millions of troops. They'll simply need to watch for headlights.

I wish this was BS, but it’s not. I’m hearing the same from many other sources. I’ve been trying to stay positive throughout this ordeal. My positivity is gone.

Stay positive. It's all we have to fight the virus/potential covert government/fake virus/whatever is going on/life in general.

I got scared last night, but today I am going to try and stay positive as well.

I've heard similar rumblings...

For what it's worth I'm a fed in the DC area and am in indefinite telework. Also, the Pentagon is on Health Condition Bravo.

I can easily believe they will shut down air travel and set up check stations along major interstates at the borders between states...

Time will tell...

Step-son's friend in National Guard just told him they're mobilizing to enforce a 2 Week shut down of businesses starting in 48 hrs.
Said he was serious.
