Didn't the residents in Wuhan burn their money and throw it out of their apartments because it was useless at that point?

Edit: Didn't see that, but can understand if they did.
Wouldn't be much use if you have no food.

I read "Did the residents ..." first time, and replied wrong. Sorry.

Thanks for the reply, the reflex thing makes sense I hadn't thought of it.
And yes, i had a wade through the bill but it's quite wordy and i got fatigued reading it to be honest.
Seems like they think this will go on for quite some time.
Hopefully online there will be a good summary of key points to look at.

Someone help me understand

Day before yesterday our state had 42 new cases, today reporting 21 new cases I think. Is this accurate and should I take it as improvement, or is it a matter of some labs don’t report on the weekend? I have a friend who was tested Monday and told she would have results in five days, but has not heard yet.

They did this because it was thought to be a vector for infection.

"New Zealand to move to lockdown in 48hrs".

link

From 1.06am :

“I do not underestimate what I am asking New Zealanders to do. It is huge,” Ardern said of the decision to put the country into self isolation and close non-essential services.

“The worst-case scenario is simply intolerable, it would represent the greatest loss of New Zealanders’ lives in our history and I will not take that chance.”

Great decision from a very intelligent Government, they will go down in history for this decision.

Rand Paul becomes first senator to test positive for Covid-19

So are they going to follow up on this and see how he was infected or is this a case of a "cluster" zone.

They were making paper airplanes out of it WITHOUT wearing gloves and tossing them out. If they thought it was infected money they would've worn gloves and shoved it all out the window. IMO...

I disagree. They were locked in and couldn't buy goods.

I saw that on TV and my only thoughts were, we are going to start having "neighborhood " shutdowns. That is how it will work out. I mentioned many times that Japan is like China in several ways. We here have "chiefs " that are somewhat in control of the messaging of news in our community. I truly expect with many countries cancel travel to Japan, he was just giving hope to the people that are participating in the Olympics. Maybe it won't happen due to travel restrictions and that will let Japan off the hook. Also investors may then get financial help, but what good will that do when we already have like over 12 % of businesses begging for workers. Its all an economic train wreck coming our way.
Not sure on this, maybe someone here knows but... were all Americans ask to leave Japan about a week ago.

Not entirely,

some shops/pharmacies remained open the entire time. 1 person per household was allowed to visit once or twice per week

there are movies people made doing this and its what will happen here as well

Put some bleach in that wash water for the dishes.

That doesn't really help if you're already infected.

It may help anyone else in the house.

What about the buildings that were welded shut? Are we already forgetting this?

There were several videos of angry residents throwing their money out because they couldn't get food so it no longer even mattered.

I've searched but these videos have been removed. I can't be the only one on here who remembers this.

**Yes, the banks said the money could contain the virus. Many articles on that, of course.
