Don't panic. Shortage of food is only the third seal.

I was actually waiting for Dunkin Donuts to close as as the final seal. There is no Waffle House by me. Thanks DCCowboy for the Heston reference I now have to clean some coffee off the dashboard and screen in my car.

Hurricanes, Earth Quakes, Floods Waffle house stays open, or has a team on the groups as soon as safe to get it up and running again.

This is actually kinda serious in my opinion.

Have no fear. It'll reopen with every employee wearing containment PPPS suits.

I picture Charleton Heston in front of a closed Waffle House screaming, "You fools, damn you to hell!"

Thank you!

Dirty dishes, greasy food, and ugly waitresses. What is not like?

Smothered and covered.

You ain't been on a road trip or had a late night unless you've ate at waffle house.

Real talk, I'm impressed how the cooks can remember the orders called out.

Huddle House is like Waffle House's meth daughter.

Spent many a morning before going hunting with my Dad at a Waffle House, then Waffle House was always open on all those late-night stoner weekends and drunk and buzzed nights at ZZ Top or AC/DC or whoever concerts were in town or later on working driving throughout the southeast that early morning coffee or late night Texas Cheesesteak plate kept me going. Even when I'm in town and we occasionally get snow and other places are closed I'll head up to the Awful Waffle for a cup of joe. Yea it's greasy and not good for you but its consistent

Oh my waffles!!! my dear dear waffles!!!

Joking aside it's the smart thing to do, this virus is bad gumbo but it seems like there is a little bit of alarmism in the air, but it's better to be safe than sorry. the politicians all around the globe need to get this figured out because there is one word that we all know...vaccine.

After the 2011 tornado outbreak we lost power in the entire town. It was about 3 days before the gas stations had power back and 4-5 for us to have stable power. That entire time, Waffle House was open and cooking hot food. The tornadoes had barely stopped before they threw the doors open and had the lights back on.

Their disaster response team is literally second to none, if fema was half as capable we would never need to fear the aftermath again.

People laugh, but you're not wrong. Yeah, the food can be godawful, but when it's the only place with power for days, it's amazingly good. They need to find out who came up with their disaster plan and put them in charge of everything.

I am wondering, can the coronavirus SURVIVE in the waffle house environment?

Haha, true!

I learned the secret to cooking the best over-easy/over-medium eggs ever from watching the cooks at Waffle House! Use lots of real butter in the skillet, the eggs will turn over way easy.

Edit to add, I’ve never really had a bad breakfast at WH, when your hungry I guess everything tastes better.

What a beautiful, feel good story. I'm surprised hollywood doesn't know about it.
