Seriously, you may want to check the news a little more often. Like others said, this has been a thing since December. We get more information every day regarding the infection rate, death rate, survival rate, purported virus strength, etc.

This disease has just started. If it is as easy to transmit as flu (and we are hearing it may be actually more contagious), then we are in a lot of trouble. We have no vaccine. Flu kills hundreds of thousands a year. If this crap is as infectious or worse than the flu and has up to 10 times the mortality (maybe 20, maybe 30 times even)... Not pretty.

This has been in the headlines since December.

And its a global issue not something that is restricted to the USA and has absolutely nothing to do with Trump and he has no need to 'declare martial law and uses that to keep the presidency indefinitely' because as far as I can tell, granted I'm watching from the outside, he's going to walk the November election.

Not everything is solely about America.

And please people give up with this unnatural obsession with left/right democrat/republican bollocks....its becoming incredibly boring for the rest of us and hugely embarrassing for you.

2020 will mark my 4th US presidential election at Abovetopsecret. Every prior election year, usually before the start of summer, saw threads identical to your own... with people swearing by Zeus that Bush would declare martial law to suspend the election in 2008... then Obama was fear mongered to do the same in 2012 and 2016... now, like clockwork, here comes the "Trump will suspend the 2020 elections!!! OMFG!!!" ridiculousness. This is a fine example of why a lot of people roll their eyes and laugh at CT, we permit theories pulled from the ass such as the above.

What happens when its the foodbanks that begin to close.

There are 1.6 million people in the United Kingdom that cannot afford to survive, where are they going to get food and what will happen to them and their kids immune systems if those are forced to close?

The knock-on effects of this Virus could be a lot more than we bargained for considering the current socio-economic predicament a lot of people are in.
