If I do get it I will make sure to cough all over my keyboard and down the web-cam so all my fellow ATS members can suffer with me and I won't feel so lonely when I'm on self isolation!!!

My seasonal allergies are kicking my tail, but no, no virus here. My kids have been fine.
My dog is still crazy though.

Allergies, hmmm. What are YOUR symptoms? I seem to have something like (allergies?) going on. I am in day 4 or 5 now, my nose burns when the wind goes through it, dry coughs, slightly heavy dry feeling chest, headaches, and it feels like my entire sinus cavities are going nuts and really dry feeling. No fever. Never had it like this so I am wondering about dust or mold in my home.

Still think this is going to be old forgotten news in a few weeks. Like the swine flu, bird flu, etc.

I'm treating this entire thing very similar to how I treat my high blood pressure. I'm not over-worrying myself to the point of freaking out like some are when they hit the stores and threaten violence... but I'm also not going to act like it's nothing because, well, because I really don't want to get sick by this.

That's about all sane, rational people can do. No need to freak out, just make smart precautions.

Nope, just yearly allergies from all the beautiful blooming trees. It passes, no meds or shots needed.

I am swearing an oath to ATS.

If I do get the virus, I'm gonna document it daily and possibly hourly depending on how it goes.

I promise to do the same.

And when you all quit posting..... we'll have ideas, but we won't know.
If you croak, have someone post the info for you... we don't want to be kept hanging in suspense.

Whole family is fine here.. no Covid or flu either. At work ( nurse ) several nurses has been in sickleave but reason is RSV virus which has been rampant here.

There is one thing what is different in COVID19 from normal flu. In Covid 19 there is no runny nose ( very few has that ) or sneezing. Cought is dry and irritating.

Keep safe !

Experts who are sadistic, or who want money, say 40% of America has it. It's a "silent killer".

Typical sneezing/almost sneezing and watery eyes during the day, some minor dryness of the eyes and stuffiness of the sinus' at night. For nights, I use a humidifier and turn down the heat to help cut the dryness. For the day, I'll take an antihistamine sometimes.
Nothing major, but a real pain trying to read/see when your left eye waters constantly and you want to sneeze every 7 minutes. Been going on for almost a week. It'll pass, like anything else.
You don't sound like you have as good of luck with your own. Treat it as you normally would, it can't last forever. But, it can be misery.
Hang in there.

Nope, don't have it here. No sense of panic over this at all.

Two pages of people confirming..... they do not have it.

Might be a brighter idea to comment if you DO have it?

Call me crazy but valuable information is better than pages of people saying 'nope!'.

First case in my country has only been confirmed today.. so pretty sure I’m clean.

My wife has been in panic mode over this because our 13 year old son had some pretty severe bronchial issues when he was small. She's literally been losing sleep because of the media hype.

I showed her this meme this morning to give her a little perspective -

Accurate or not it still makes a point.

I'm glad someone finally made this thread. No don't have it either.
And the thing I notice most is, this panic only exists online. Once I walk out my front door, life is 100% normal.

Funny you would make this thread. I just got sent home from work because I’m sick with some mystery illness. Fever, sore throat, trouble breathing, headache, sweating and freezing at the same time.

So yeah, I probably have it. Looks like my time is probably up.

I don't have it. But I've been coughing all day anyway for a few months because of dry-air induced lung irriration and post nasal drip. I just bought a humidifier.
Not sure I'd even notice if I got the virus. Lol

And to add to that someone broke into my car last night and stole my toilet paper and laundry detergent.

When it rains it pours.

thanks for the reply! I do not have watery eyes, congestion, or sneezing. Just a dry cough and a really dried out feeling in my sinuses/nose, headache. Thinking of trying some home remedies today like salt water steam, and some good hot tea!
