And if your scenario happens you can damn well believe it will be the end of the electoral college. If Bernie manages to win the required number of EC votes but still doesn't get the presidency, do you really think that is indicative of a healthy electoral system?

CNN just published an analysis of how the Electoral College map would look, the day before this year's November 3rd Presidential Election.
Summary:Map and More at: www.cnn.com...
The map allots 260 electoral votes to Trump, 248 to Sanders and puts 30 in the pure toss-up category.
"In our view, we think a Sanders nomination would tilt the election more toward Trump, to the point where the ratings would reflect him as a favorite," writes Kyle Kondik and J. Miles Coleman of the map.
Since CNN and their "analysis and polling partners" are all heavily biased towards favoring Democrats, it's quite extraordinary for them to give Republican President Donald Trump the better odds of winning, this many months in advance.
And, since they gave Donald Trump less than a 10% chance of winning the Presidency in 2016, it's realistic to assume that the "slight edge" they're giving Trump over Sanders, will actually be a LANDSLIDE re-election victory for President Donald J. Trump.
No wonder Democrat Mega-Donors and level-headed Democrats are in a panic right now!
IMO, CNN is publishing this prediction early as a "WARNING!" to Democrat Party Leaders that they had better find a way to get Joe Biden the nomination. In every "Trump vs Biden" poll, dating all the way back to last May, Biden always wins.

Trump will be lucky if he gets 15% of Republican votes.
Those people have TVs and they know what he is now.
His little base won't be enough to keep him in power which is why he is cheating AGAIN.
He loses no matter who the dem nominee is.
Count on it.

As I said, it is now the largest demographic. Bernie's support among that demographic is so large, at one point he polled higher among them than all other candidates combined.
Hillary lost because she slightly underperformed with certain demographics. You really don't think Bernie would win if he galvanized the largest voting demographic in the country?

Let's take out the fact of Bernie being a socialist, remove it from the picture. What are we left with as a candidate? An old guy who has never held an actual job in any capacity other than politician. Based on his track record as a politician what has he accomplished? Not exactly a lot (anything) when you compare it against the sitting president. He's not a particularly likable person, seems overly hostile, and if I had to look in the dictionary for picture of "grumpy old man" I wouldn't be shocked to see his picture.
So you take that candidate and then add the socialism, he's now unpalatable to a large portion of the population, who without it may have begrudgingly voted for him because he's not Trump. Even if I don't care for the president as a person, you'd never spot me having a beer with him (even if I were on the same socio-economic level), he's still gotten more done in a positive aspect for me than any other president I've been old enough to vote for. I think a lot of people may dislike his personality, wish he would shut up a bit more on Twitter, etc. yet he's still getting stuff done in a positive direction. That's more than you can say about any other candidate up for election.

Im not sure if Bernie could work for POTUS but at least he is one of the very few politicians who isn't a sell-out.

90% chance if the Bern doesn’t get the nomination that there’s violence In Milwaukee.
I hope he has enough cash to run as 3rd party.
That would be amazing to watch both him and Buttplug get crushed by Trump.

Seriously with the coronavirus; when countries start fighting over resources; the dead pilling up in the streets; human sacrifice; dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria ... who do you want to be the captain of your Team? Darnold Trump or Bernie Sanders?
