Pardon me, but I thought I was on this thread.

In the context of an organised world wide conspracy to persecute against christians exclusively. There was a conspiracy against Jews, blacks with black/white segregation.. women with being banned from certain jobs, people with disabilites being turned down for jobs because of it etc. etc.

After saying all this, you'd like me to share the challenges I have to face being a saint? I'm sorry, I don't think there's anything I can say that would change your mind at this point.

At this point? There is an assumption anyway. For instance.. being denied entrance to a restaurant, cinema, pub, denied a job for being a christian. That would be persecution. Someone verbally abusing you without provacation [ie yelling "Sinner".. which I'm sure you don't do] would also qualify.

I just don't want someone to presume, assume or any other 'sume' that just because one is Christian, they have a nice easy time of it, like being in a V.I.P club. The truth is, a person comes under fire more when they're on the battlefield than hiding in a foxhole.

No-one is immune from persecution.. or clashing with other people.

Carrying around the name Christian means getting shot at even when you're waving a flag of peace. Hope this helps offer some perspective my friend. I wouldn't try if I didn't care.

Carrying other labells of witch, atheist, moslem etc. frequently draw fire.. I recall being called a satanist several times- as I'm sure you have noticed that not all christians.. especially on ATS are waving flags of peace .. though you obviously do and I respect that.

So.. you won't respect 'my god'.. disrespect can be quite easily turned into persecution.. persecution causes wars.. how can you claim you are peaceful?

No.. I like everyone to be tolerent, not judgemental and to accept that other people have different belief systems that are just as loving as christianity asserts itself to be. I love diversity.

I've already said I have no problem with people who follow christ's teaching.. what I do have a problem with is people feeling they have a right to abuse others for not following christ's teachings, demanding they do and then crying foul when they refuse.

Perhaps Jake you label far too few as Christian? Jake at times you argue over the words of Christ and their interpretation. That is why there are so many different denominations of Christianity. Interpretation. You then condemn those who don't interpret the same as you. A very judgemental thing to do.

You may be absolutely correct in saying without Christ there is death. However, that is not for you to judge. That is for Christ to judge. I know he has his hands more full as each generation passes and the teachings of man confuse the people. He has his 5 books to ask and judge. Ye have none.

Me too. I see where you're coming from on a lot of your posts between this one and your response to me. I can, however, write up a list of people who will without fail pop up as 'the gang against Christians' just on this site alone! Magnify that by the other places I go and guess what. You and I agree on many things Saint. However, this I will have to disagree on. I just don't see a conspiracy, or even "feel" one. Yes, there are many who are not of the Christian faith, however to say there is a true conspiracy I personally just do not think is true.

It is like the implication that all Democrats have no faith. I certainly would and could argue that point. However, this is what one hears from people who continually shove their agendas, many of which are not Christian, down others throat. My office is a perfect example. I being a democrat all the sudden have opinions that don't count. How could they? I have no faith-HA!!!

I have heard about the so called "activist judges". Yet, when a recent case was thrown at them they refused to intervene. Then they are condemned by many. For what? I'm sure many at that time refused to hear the case not only because of law, but because of their faith. In other words-none of their business. Between God and whomever. Let Jesus judge on a case like that.

That is why when the vote was taken in Congress many were present on both sides of the aisle but did not vote. Why? Simple-between God and whomever.

The anti-Christian conspiracy is within our grasp.......it's not the simple people like you and I....or who knows?
Maybe here at A.T.S there are a few not so 'simple' people that would like for all Christains to simply be quiet and sit back and watch...

The time will come when the TRUTH will spread itself like a worm that spreads itself on the internett......

Then will be the time for all Christians and others to step back and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.....until that time comes and we have little left....we should be able to freely have opinions to talk about God our Christ....

Thats garbage. Its not the only way. Its not the only way Christ used.
Ive also seen it said that people dont like it when you add in some hellfire and brimstone.

Everyone knows in their heart , what is the truth and what is not. Everyone makes a choice on which they will follow. If that were not so, then God would have no one to judge because many would have had no choice.
All have a choice.

The choice is this

1.) Eternal life with Christ in Heaven
2.) Eternity in the Lake of Fire that was made for satan and his angels.

You will follow Christ to heaven
or
You will follow satan to hell.

Thats the only two options you have

I've had to go back and read all of the pages of the original posts to make sure what I wanted to say wasn't already said..and I started today WHEW!!! Anyhow..I think it's is the easiest thing in the world to put down someone who is openly"Christian" ((as if they should hide???))) But the fact is all over this forum, -that's the way it is. Being put down for having the affiliation with, or faith in Christ is being put into as widely a diversified group as is "Americans" similarly blaming or criticising us for loving our country. But what the truth is ...the bible is much more mysterious and hidden in meaning than many other religious texts/works and it has caused alot pain for many people. The fact there are so many different protestant religions attests to that fact. I believe what Jesus was trying to teach is that in order to ascend to ever lasting life we must put off the sin (cares) of this world, Love our brothers as ourselves, Do good to others in need, either in Substance or in Spirit . I believe Jesus's name has power in it, that on believing in Christ's doctrines, we will see for ourselves the spirit within us is of God and we are in him...

We do not want to judge or preach...only let people know that they are able to cast off past mistakes from themselves (redemption of sins) and are worthy to be sons of God without carrying the burden of guilt that would impede their going in a forward direction. If we are to let other people see that we are on that path, it should not be a threat to them or should offend them, but it does because of lack of knowledge and wisdom of what Christ taught. ----- Many points that I am writing have already been made here-just to acknowledge that!! -----

But it is sad that so many Churches today don't preach these things and clarify what is really in the NT. But I really feel that there are alot of "Christians" that feel the way I do and are not judgmental or "in your face pushy"..about their way being the ONLY WAY..I think Christ meant that it's the CONCEPT..and we are all missing it!! And it happens to be called the Christ Jesus. Perhaps it is called something else in another religion... but that's the way I learned it and -I'm not ashamed to say it!!!

Those above who preach as if "little time is left" WISH they knew when the end days were. Only God in heaven knows that. In fact-already happened as the prophets were let in on it many thousands of years ago.

Remember the words of the Lord folks: "They get their reward".

Preaching fear and damnation and armageddon by a common man? Is that the words of Christ speaking or the teachings of man used to dominate and control?

Helen, let's make sure that it is Christ you have followed and not the teaching of others. Many will be shocked when the day arrives-whenever that is. They will wonder why they have been left behind.

Once spoke to an evangelical about our dominion over this planet and nature. He stated to me it was not dominion, but DOMINATION!! The oil pipeline in Alaska, "What's a few elk." If this is the "Christianity" some are teaching, and unbelievably, some are listening to then I step way far away from them. I will not judge them for I know not what they think, and it is not my place. However, I do know enough of the teachings of Christ to make sure there is plenty of room between myself and "Christians" such as this for I do not want to be.....

Please give reference to your saying "and we have little left". Has God and the Lord Jesus Christ taken you and shown you as Isaiah was shown some things? He was shown and stated that no man could believe him for he could not believe, or understand himself.

Please enough teachings of FEAR. God is love. I am sorry you think people like myself are some sort of conspirators against Christianity. How could I conspire against something I am proud to be. God did give me a little insight one evening. That insight is powerful, and changed my life completely.

There is much to learn, and much to know. Man's understanding of God and the heavens is miniscule. The end days will one day come. However, to even begin to think man has an understanding of when it will happen makes me wonder at who teaches you. A man with an agenda or Christ whose own agenda is completely different?
