White House considers appointing coronavirus czar

The White House is weighing whether to appoint a coronavirus czar to coordinate the response to the spreading epidemic, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Officials are still debating whether such a role is necessary, but the global spread has increased the urgency to elevate its response, and the Trump White House is eager to appear like it’s in control of containing the virus within the United States. Appointing a czar would mirror the Obama administration’s response to the Ebola outbreak in 2014 when it named Ron Klain, a former adviser to Vice President Joe Biden, to coordinate nationwide efforts to fight that epidemic.

I’m told the president’s anger about the CDC briefing yesterday is focused on Dr. Nancy Messonnier, who said it’s not whether, it’s when the virus will hit the US. “She never should have said that,” a senior administration official told me. “it’s bad.”

The odd thing is that POTUS reversed the order; part 2 first and then part 1!

Lumping the order numbers together gives:

This is just a spitball, but...

You know how the letter Q is sometimes substituted for the letters 'ck' or just 'C' or 'K' as in QinetiQ (pronounced Kinetic).

What if, in the word, "chocked", we change the 'ck' to a 'q'. I did that, and it took me to something related to Disney. That's all I'm qoing to say for now.

From what they're saying it sounds like the incident has been over for a while.

President Trump is 100% right to be angry at Rod Rosenstein's sister. She sounded an alarm Bell yesterday about the coronavirus that was way over the top. She's hoping that creating Panic will ramp down the investigations into her brother that are starting up.

care, I was thinking earlier, "How do you stop the family nepotism and empire building"...

Would it be practical to make a rule that only one family member can hold a government role at grade X or above - with family member stretching 2 cousins and 2 generations - i.e. noone else in the family could get a role in that grade until grandchildren and previous member has left post?

If that's a good family then it would be a positive thing to have relatives working if similar high-ranking posts. But then you also have the Biden family problem where people in government help relative get contracts that they don't deserve.

How about no lawyers admitted to BAR (British Accreditation Regency) should serve high level political positions. How many times do various laws prevent them from doing something against the people and they just write/pass a new law or amendment to circumvent and call it a win for the people. Because most of us lack the legalese language skills to understand any of it; much less the hidden loopholes that serve [them].
